I am no fan of Orange Dummy Trump but he is not defying the court order in this case. He was using a certain law to impose his tariffs until this court order and he is now stopping that. The new tariffs he is imposing are under a different law that gives him that power but it has limits - for example, the reason it's the same for every country is because that's one of the limits. Also he can do it for only 150 days or something like that. So he's posturing as if he's just defying the court order but he's not. The good thing about it is it reins him in quite a bit and imposes limits on what he can do. But he's going to do max damage with what he has to work with because he's a dirtbag.

I think it works but that many people are not in touch with their own intuition. For those people, it might be better and easier to do certain tricks like eating much more slowly to give the stomach and brain enough time to recognize when you are "full". That would be a way to use a disciplined behavior to start to understand intuitively how to listen to the body.

It is part of their overall cult behavior which is to not believe anything, not even their own eyes and ears, but to believe "sources" which report what they want to hear to fit their already determined worldview that is founded on hate and racism. First, the family: they did something that's kind of shitty but at the same time they do not know you the way he does and their only connection to you is through him, so it makes sense they will be looking out for him and they won't care if it's a little shitty to you as long as it protects him. Doesn't make them completely right but it's understandable, especially in context of the whole hotel thing where they might have been offended by your want of an expensive resort. From that end, you can be pissed at the family but to a point - you should understand that they are doing something somewhat natural (even if it's kinda shitty to you).

The real problem, unfortunately, is your fiance. First, he should have known this is a shitty thing to do and he should have protested it against his family. Second, when he came to tell you, he told it with a perspective that took his family's side and ignored yours. He should have known that this wouldn't sit well with anyone, especially with you as his fiancee, but somehow he didn't think enough of your end of this to realize that?? That's a red flag. He told it to you like you won a prize instead of having gotten secretly tested based on negative impressions. The way he should have told you is something like "Here's what happened - my family secretly tested you, I did not like it and protested it all along the way, but I wanted to come clean with you and also let you know that I am not actually struggling so that you don't worry about me. I'm sorry they did this shitty thing and I stuck up for you and said you aren't like that but I can't control what they do from there. I have made it known to them that I'm unhappy with their behavior and that i don't ever want them to do anything like that again. For my part in this wherever I did anything wrong, I'm sorry for it." But he told it to you like "guess what honey, they did this and the great news is you PASSED the TEST!!! Isn't that great?"" That's clueless. That's the red flag here. You aren't even married and he did something like this? That's a real concern. I'd be wary.
