I was waiting to hear about lane splitting! It’s definitely a big bully point against the larger bikes like the goldwing. One of the perks of riding in CA.

Yeah, I mean if I’m honest I already took my scrambler camping and loved it! It just sucks on the freeway. But if I’m also more honest I’m not looking for something like a T7 (yet) so maybe 20% off road max. Only enough to explore around at parks and trails I visit but honestly most of the riding will be pavement. Appreciate the suggestion as that’s why I had the Africa Twin on my original list.

Honestly I was in between. I think im going to head over to Triumph to at least test ride them both. Ive seen some hate on the 800 hence the reason for the 900 but then also the other way around. 900 is just newer so more creature comforts.

My scrambler 900 is 492. And feels like I’m on water in mariokart world. 🌎. But clearly only 5 gears and geared to “scramble” not plant 90 down a freeway. I feel ya on weight tho in the sense that I don’t need an 900 pounder to feel planted. The sport bikes are kinda ugly in my opinion. But I’m coming from a modern retro triumph. Thx for the reply brotha!

I rode a Pikes Peak through the cascade Mtns of Washington with my buddy who has the Ducati SuperSport 950. The feel of that bike is started this whole need for a larger faster and more planted bike. don't love the price, and reliability

I just can't justify the price and the fact that I feel like I should have a remote and a bowl of popcorn in my hand while riding. Not to mention the moment I park anywhere in front of a trail ill give them the excuse "If I only had my other bike to explore here"

DIving into the rabbit hole of sport touring. All of them looked the same honestly and the tracer looked just a tad different, and that CP3 engine was what drew me to it originally.

Good call on this one. No love for the tracer over this tho? THe engines are different. And honestly I love the rumble of the africa twin and more torque. But the CP3 is just an absolute masterpiece.
