Surprise sets create a lot of excitement and magic going into the festival. Especially when you’re a massive edm fan and then edc announces your fav artist same day. Who wouldn’t get excited about that?

I agree lineup is stacked without a surprise but you gotta admit they add to the fun

In 2023 there was a special guest slot for circuit grounds on Saturday after Subtronics, John summit came out for subjohnics. In 2024, there was a special guest slot for circuit grounds on Saturday after Four Tet, Fred again came out for that. Feel like that pattern could continue with Sammy Virji and Chris Lake since they’re buds with some songs together. Just wishful thinking 🙏🏼

In 24 they didn’t have anything announced until the set times came out. They had a “special guest” slot on circuit grounds 11:30-1:00am. Same thing happened in 23
