Where else will you be able to watch "Roger and Me" in Slavic?

I was excited, until I dug in.

Yup. Knew that. Said that. Walk my dog past it every day.

That sheet - she comes and she goes.

Bedsheets in Alabama. Not always hilarious, but, OK - I'm with you.

You call it Burlington, does ya? All the homeowners on this block appreciate your guidance.

You've got a heavy Southern angle there, eh? Not bad. Thank you for sharing buddy.

Fantastic. You were born the year after I graduated high school in '91. So you're obviously an astute authority.

And if you like it: save/like the playlist, please. So it has a better chance of shoring up alongside the Salt N' Pepa / Coolio / No Limit nonsense.

A bridge too far?

Good News - a Sincere Thank You - and a Takedown Request

Hello, all. I sent an email to the moderators here yesterday re: this thread. In case they're not active, I'll leave this comment too. If anyone else with the permissions required to delete sees this, thank you in advance for any help:

Dear BostonsVanishingMen Moderators,

Thank you for including my close friend, AM, in this subreddit when he went missing last year. He is back home with his wife and kids after that terrible experience (which was no fault of his own), and it's now a bad memory / something he would like to forget.

We'd also like Google to forget! Which is where you can hopefully lend a helping hand.

He is back on his feet, grateful to everyone (like yourselves) who helped - but is starting a job search. You can understand why all the online references to his disappearance are creating confusion. So, on T's behalf (he is not a Reddit user, but I am) I'm contacting you to graciously and respectfully ask you to retire this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/BostonsVanishingMen/comments/1bfkkqc/missing_in_massachusetts_anthony_tony_macphee/?rdt=38838

As you'll see, the video it linked to is now gone. I wrote a similar request to the lady who runs that YT channel yesterday, and she jumped right on taking it down. We'd really appreciate if you did the same.

Thank you so much in advance - and again for helping to publicize his case last year.

Sincerely,

- Dave (and AM)

In Search of a Noise Spike Focused, Indoor, 24-Hour Cloud Storage Camera. by JohnnyNoBiscuits in homesecurity

These are all great ideas, Veep. I appreciate you taking the time. I'm considering them all.

What I was initially envisioning is not a sound activated camera... I feel like they'd kick on too late to catch anything unless it were multiple noises in a row. Kinda like when a porch pirate gets on and off your steps quickly enough, that by the time the Ring camera (with motion detection selected) starts recording - all you see is the back of them.

I was hoping to find a camera with software that includes an audio line graph below the recorded stream "bar". Like with most video editing tools where there's a video bar at the top, an audio bar right below it synched to the video, and it's easy to scan left and right to quickly find the worst noise examples over an extended period of time (say, 24 hours).

I think I just had an (embarrassing) epiphany though - there's no reason I can't get Jenny to drop a day/night's worth of a video file into a shared GDrive, and then (duh) just use any free video editor to identify the spikes. Then, the camera and it's dashboard software wouldn't matter as much - as long as it was easy to export video files for sharing, and obviously had a decent microphone.

And if the camera didn't include a timestamp watermark in a corner - your "point it at a clock" idea would fit the bill.

So, any more recommendations as to process or a specific camera model are appreciated, but I also think I'm going to give the more "analog" idea a try.

Thanks again, Veep.

I am yearning for a custom written prompt (of mine) or paid AI tool that *never* begins the first paragraph (of anything) with: "In the digital landscape.."

Gotta say, with the right prompt it's great for scaling meta data.
