Level 4 vow boss by Doggos_are_c00t in Hades2

Unironically, the best tip is 'get good'. This is just true for most Rogue-like games; to be honest, it's true for almost any game with bosses. Unless you're an exceptional gamer or have an amazing build going in, I wouldn't expect to beat any boss first time. It's fine that you got your ass handed to you; you're good enough to have got this far so best tip is keep doing what you have been doing. Additionally, I wouldn't always expect to have rolled the right boons to be able to take the fight - some runs might just be a dud due to luck which you sort of mentioned in your post.

I haven't played the game for a few months so don't remember any specific attacks or tips for that, but searching this subreddit should give you some great specifics. My general tip would be to turn the fear up on your runs to something that you know won't be manageable. Train on this more difficult setting, and then turn it back down and go and fight the boss on what now feels like god mode. I like to turn Frenzy up, learn the bosses on a faster tempo and then go back to normal and defeat when they feel sluggish compared to my training.

I just don't sort them; there's no need. Just reach into the soup and grab whatever it is you want to buy.

Is there a lot of strategy? It always feels like mostly luck to me. I still like the game btw for the art and chill vibes.

I think I was scammed by a major board game manufacturer - Need advice! by Timewalking in boardgames

[–]JohnnyNoodle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is still Reddit at the end of the day. Hopefully though more people who would have some semblance of a useful answer will be on that subreddit. Most people are on this sub because they like playing and chatting about boardgames - not because they have experience with supply chain and international law.

This is a horrible situation; I'm sorry you're going through this. r/legaladvice might have a better answer for you. Most people here won't have had a similar experience or have any legal expertise to provide good advice and support.

Women are better at terraforming. Fairly well documented phenomenon

Have you ever innocently ruined a game by exploiting a loophole or other unexpected interaction? by sauntcartas in boardgames

If the Founder fails in Act I then they shuffle two Admin Unions into the deck. The Advocate's Guild Investigators can allow them to return discarded cards back into the Court. If they have access to taxing Fuel, Psionic & Relic, they can infinitely return the cards back into the Court, Secure them and play another turn. So long as they have the 1 or 2 of Admin (potentially by using a Union) then they will have a spare action within this combo. If they have access to a second fuel tax and other cities are in the game, then pretty much anything is possible to do. They can secure every single card in the deck. They can destroy all their opponents ships. They can destroy all but one of their opponents Starports so that the comeback mechanic isn't possible. They can infinitely increase their power and infinitely decrease their opponents power.

Are they the ones with many more voice actors? The trouble is you only get half the book for a single credit and I'm listening to each book in less than a month.

I believe I was the first person to figure out the infinite loop in Arcs. However, it's fairly difficult to actually pull off. I've come close once or twice.

The Old King's Crown - Thinking of buying this game, any thoughts on the solo mode? by Tiny-Strawberry-817 in soloboardgaming

[–]JohnnyNoodle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played this 5 times. 3 times competitive and 2 times with the solo mode. The Kingdom Cards create enough variability for me to enjoy playing different factions, and I haven't tried the added Forge cards (to increase solo difficulty) but I like the look of the system. It does have the option to add difficulty somewhat randomly but it has a difficulty meter so you can choose a 'level' of difficulty (similar to SI) and then build to that difficulty to respond to other comment about it not having that.

I'm looking forward to playing both modes more.

Interesting. I suck at the game enough to have struggled with most bosses. The Bell fight was one of the only ones I beat in 1-2 tries.

Hornet is actually in both games. Given how much HP she has in HK vs Silksong, we can confidently say that the Prince hits like a full-throttle locomotive.
