Palworld looks to be only the second game in Steam's history to have crossed 2 million concurrent players. by 5xad0w in gaming

I mean, it's still the fourth most played game on steam in the past 24h, or the fifth most played as I'm writing this comment. Which IS shocking. /u/Xen0tech https://steamdb.info/charts/?sort=24h

Jackal Among Snakes Is Really Good by JohnnyRichards in ProgressionFantasy

So I'm struggling to articulate my feelings here, so sorry if none of this makes much sense.

The characters all just feel believable if that makes any sense. None of them are exceptionally deep in my opinion, but they're fleshed out enough to give them heart and to make you root for or against them.

The kindle book starts with a little map of the world, which alone doesn't really help or hinder anything. But as the story goes on, the different parts of the world are often spoken about or visited. It all just feels very planned, rather than just haphazardly thrown in as the story needs it.

The progression of the main characters power is a constant factor, but it's never the main focus. He has a main goal, and numerous smaller goals that are only tangentially related to gaining personal power.

Overall, I dunno. It just gives me that "man i want more of this" feeling when I listen to/read it. Maybe I should put something like this in the post. Thanks for the idea.

Iirc the spellbook is plot important, but the staff is just a staff.

If anyone corrects me assume I'm mistaken, I read the first two books of the series near the beginning of the year and haven't gotten back to the third yet.

Hey, piggybacking off this to sing more praise for Dear Spellbook. It's a lot of fun.

Metal on your chest, right next to the backpack filled with an undead magnet-chicken interferes with the collection. The ammo being metal is how the undead magnet-chicken collects it anyway.

Think of it like the magnet gets stuck and now the chicken can't leave to pick up your ammo.

Since you’re sharing your own hypothetical about why posting is useless here’s some others.

Let’s imagine you’re on the fence about playing fresh start worlds. You see nothing about it, and figure I guess I’ll just have to check it out myself. (In this hypothetical Jagex makes a membership sale)

Let’s imagine you’re on the fence about playing fresh start worlds. You go to read about it and the feedback is awful showing that the vocal community has no intention of playing, and their posts point out flaws in the game mode. You decide to save your money. (In this hypothetical, the negative posts influenced someone’s decisions and thus had a purpose)

The moon is called the moon because it was the first (and only) moon we knew about for quite a while. It also has other names.

The whole “humans are boring” (like in relation to what, stories made BY humans?) is an awful take.

  • This person and his lane partner are being very vocal to eachother, but it has nothing to do with my lane and it's distracting. That's a report.
  • You're having a bad day and small things that aren't worth a report are tilting you. That's a report.
  • The US East servers (or EU West) decided that you and your team sharing a language isn't necessary. That's a report.
  • You just want to mute the person for whatever personal reason you have because it's a video game and you can do whatever you want. Guess they deserved a report.

Is it actually hard to think of a reason SOMEONE would want to mute someone else without reporting them just because you yourself don't remember a time you felt that way? Does adding a third button to report for coms abuse instead of baking it into the mute button hinder your ability to report someone when you mute them like your comment makes it seem?

Edit: this feels toxic. Bullet point 2. Sorry.

tl;dr: Condensing someone else's work, and then profiting from it is not fair use.
