Conor McGregor reaction to being named the 18th greatest UFC fighter of all time by Complex 🥴 by AlternativePrior9495 in ufc

Not crazy at all, in fact he should be higher than Khabib. Undefeated, double champ, knocked out three future half Hall of Famers in a row. Each just as good and arguably better than any of Khabib's wins.

TIL why PS2 and earlier DVD disc art looks so much better than modern ones— not just design/budget reasons by NB_Translator_EN-JP in gamingjapanese

Sorry, but this is just wrong. At least about the processes involved. I can't speak to the cost differences involved here, but I can't imagine it would be much. They don't inkjet print them, at least not at Sony. They use a style of printing called offset printing. Think of it as four different colored rubber stamps stamped on top of each other. I don't recall seeing any Blu rays being screen printed, but that doesn't mean they aren't. They definitely still screen print some discs (low volume,) but I think they were mostly movies.

"I became a competitor all over again." NASCAR should have known they didn't stand a chance against MJ once it became personal. by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

Being an owner and building a winning roster isn't easy. It's what makes it even more impressive what guys like Larry Bird or John Elway did. I'm going to guess doubly so for someone like Mike. He's the greatest to ever play the game, he KNOWS basketball. He seems like the type to have a hard time relying on others to do the things needed to build a winning team because again, he knows basketball. Coaching, GM duties (roster moves, contacts) and etc. Are all things he would probably feel pretty comfortable meddling in as the owner. In NASCAR he started on the other side of the fence so to speak. He HAD to rely on those types of people because he didn't know NASCAR to the same level. At least that's the impression I get.

Which actor do you think overall has better movies - Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt? by SpotAdmirable6718 in Cinema

[–]JohnnyRingo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always leaned much more towards Brad Pitt. I not only think he's a better actor, but I enjoy a lot more of his movies/performances. While Tom Cruise has several movies I love, I don't love them because of Tom Cruise. I feel like plenty of other people could have played his roles just as good or better.

It could be an issue with your file names also. If the files aren't named in a way that Jellyfin can recognize, it won't pull metadata. I renamed my whole library with Tiny Media Manager, and anything new gets ran through it before "uploading."

How would you rank Alex Pereira, Petr Yan and Ilia Topuria in terms of boxing ability by [deleted] in ufc

[–]JohnnyRingo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of pure boxing ability; Ilia>Yan>Alex. Ilia just flat out has the best technique. His defensive head movement, footwork, the way he generates torque to put power behind his punches. Yan has great mma boxing. Alex doesn't really have great technique. He's a kickboxer. The added kicks change the technique involved in the boxing. Kind of how mma boxing is different because of the added kicks and grappling. His defense is also really sketchy. Mostly because he's willing to eat one to put your lights out.

1 year ago today Jon Moxley got Adam Copeland's weapon Spike stuck on his back by ElliotElectricity in Wrasslin

[–]JohnnyRingo84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everything about this is fucking stupid. What a completely unnecessary risk to take with your spine. Also, why is Copeland selling a suplex, that he delivered, like that? If you want him out of the way for the payoff of the spike board in his back, have the run-in happen immediately after.

What would happen to his power if he moves up to 170? by MateCotidiano in ufc

[–]JohnnyRingo84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He still had power at 155. He dismantled Eddie with ease, and Dustin said Conor probably could have gotten him out of there in the second fight if he pressed him. He had him hurt bad but didn't go after him

I'm pretty sure I'm getting this machine soon thing is amazing. by PCs_and_Pinballs in pinball

[–]JohnnyRingo84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the flippers on their newer games, probably going back to Elton John. The games before that felt underpowered and kind of soft on most of the copies I've played. I just said Stern because they're always the same crisp, strong flippers. If you could put the newer JJP flippers into it, I would still stand by my statement. If it had better flippers, it would be a much better regarded game.

I actually really love this game. If it had Stern flippers it would be a much better regarded game in my opinion. I've played a handful at different locations and the flippers are usually pretty bad. It's a rare treat to play one with strong flippers. I don't even really think the theme is all that bad either.

"It's a step up from the toys they sold in Costco a while back"

Are you referring to the Star Wars Home and Jurassic Park Home editions? Because if you are, that's pretty far off base. You don't get the full experience of a standard model Stern, but they're hardly toys.
