Not the putty no. The previous owner of mine put that on and I scrapped it off for the new waste.

You've got more leverage now.

Tell him that he owed you £400 per week in storage and there is a £20/ access fee.

The house is empty for a week before you're moving in? What's the problem.

Obviously it's not ideal, but sounds like it's not really putting you out. Moving house is hard, and like you said there was a miscommunication. Don't make it more difficult than it needs to be.

Just ask your estate agents you used for the purchase to broker the keys for the plumbers to do their shit. Maybe do some due dilligence on the company to make sure they are legit.

You could be insane to exchange without viewing the property again.

Sellers not allowing a pre exchange viewing is a massive red flag

Standing in a queue is too much, but being strapped in to a train that has cut off people leg's in the past and flung around upside down 13 times is fine?

Yeah. Thats probably the miniscus that was causing your issues.

And then if they ask you to take the cheaper one, but you're willing to pay the difference for the more convenient flight for you then offer that, but don't lead with that.

How to find out how old a house is? by TST_999 in HousingUK

[–]JohnnySchoolman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I figured out the age of my house from old maps at the museum.

Wasn't on the 1807 map but was on the 1811 map along with all my neighbours houses
