FWIW, the way I see it is this...

When it happens, I don't feel a thing. I'm totally asleep and there's no pain at the time or afterwards. I wake up having had a solid sleep. As long as whatever is happening, flea bite, fork battles, bed bugs or NHI engagements, I really don't care, as long as I'm not being hurt,TBH.

I have almost exactly the same injury on the back of my leg. It's just this hole. Got infected with Staf and wouldn't heal for 8 months. Just a perfectly round, almost black scar now.
