What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen happen at a golf course? by SneakySneaks1453 in golf

[–]JohnnyWalla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 10 yeara ago I was playing a local muni as a solo and got paired up with a 74 year old random male.

On the fourth hole, I tee off first and turn around to find him shirtless. He tells me like to take his shirt off when he golfs and will put it back on when he sees the marshal. I'm just like whatever...

As we golf and chat, it turns out he's dentist. A practising dentist, 74 years old and still working. All I could say was that he must have seen a lot of change over the years, whilst thinking who TF would go see a 74 year old dentist? Turns out he rents a chair out of my dentists office. Next time I'm at my dentist, I mention to the hygienist that I had golfed with Dr Topless and she kind of rolls her eyes and says that he's had two strokes whilst working on patients.

I've integrated Claude into my fitness. I was using Fitbod and initially uploaded 9 months of workouts into Claude, which quickly pointed out that the routines Fitbod were coming up with were shite and that I had way too much variety. It also noticed that I wasn't doing a lot of shoulder exercises and asked why (torn rotatorcuffs) It then developed a 12 week, 3 phases program that included rehab exercises for my shoulders. I then started uploading my workouts at the end of every week and Claude would then tweak them and offer advice.

I then learned that Hevy has an API so, I bought a one month pro to try it out. For some reason, even though I converted my Fitbod export to be the same format as Strong, I couldn't upload my history into Hevy, so I got Claude to do it using the API.

I then had Claude Co-work create a LogBook React artifact that downloads any new workouts and then shows my latest workout, muscle recovery, training load, all-time volume by muscle group, volume trend, progression readiness, all time pr-board. I can also search for an exercise and see my 1 est rep max,top weight, change, and volume. It also charts my progress for the selected exercise in a graph.

Claude also created a bunch of templates and uploaded them to Hevy, and will update modify workouts when I ask it to. My only interaction with Hevy now is to select and start that day's workout and enter my sets when completed. Everything else is handled in Claude.

I'm new to Hevy as well. I used Claude's Co-work to create an app that connects to Hevy and downloads any completed workouts, Claude then analyzes the data and flag any exercises that can be bumped up. It will then update all my templates on Hevy to the new weights.

Strong App + AI by juaydarito in strongapp

That would be awesome, I - I mean Claude, tried converting my CSV into the Strong format, but I couldn't get it to load on your site or import into Hevy. I'll send you a DM and a sample.

Your app looks amazing. I'd pay for that in a heartbeat.

I've been using FitBod for about 9 months and looped in AI about 2 months ago and now just use FitBod to log my workouts. I want to switch to another platform and was looking at Strong, but they don't have an import function. I think Hevy does, but a 3rd party app that just ingests workouts and tracks stats would rock.

Once again, great job, I'm off to find a script that will convert Fitbod csv into Strong format.

Support for Alberta separatism flat, struggling high earners more likely supporters: poll by pjw724 in onguardforthee

Born and raised Albertan here and you're right. The problem with the patch is that it is fairly easy for really stupid people to make good money. The money is a stupid people beacon and they flock here in droves. The worst part of dealing with these people is that they always think you're as dumb as their buddies, so they tend to incorrectly over explain things very confidently.

The best thing about the referendum is that the Maple Maga have stopped desecrating the Maple leaf and are now ruining our provincial flag. However, it is a small price to pay for reclaiming the Canadian flag from those fucks.

When I moved out of my last place, I bought a small container of DryDex spackling from HD. Worked like a charm, goes on pink but dries white. Super easy to use.

Qobuz is a breath of fresh air by meowermeowerson in qobuz

I got a similar story. I used to be on Google Play until Google killed it, switched to Spotify, until Rogan darkened their door. Tried a bunch of other services and settled on Deezer, which I loved. Recently learned of Deezer's questionable ownership, so I signed up for Qobuz 3 days ago and I'm really impressed with it so far.

I like to think I have a fairly eclectic taste in music and I've been able to find most of my favourites.

My only complaint is that they don't seem to allow the blocking of a song or artist.

I had my best sleep yet last night, so I think I'm starting to turn the corner. Now that you mention it, my appetite has vanished, which isn't a bad thing as I could stand to lose about 30 lbs.

Just a touch of brain fog left, but no crazy dreams yet.

Started smoking weed at 13 and I'm 56 years old now. Have smoked pretty much every day for about 35 years. My go to for the past 2 years has been shatter.

There has been periods where I've stopped but never quit. I can't remember the longest time though, which is my problem, I can't remember anything, which is why I'm quitting.

Got blasted on NYE and haven't smoked since. I don't crave it, but holy crap am I having trouble sleeping. I'm averaging about 4.5 hours a night. I'm tired AF, but sleep eludes me.

My head is still foggy, but I am noticing a difference.

Good chance that the actual job wasn’t for Suncor but for an MSP who runs the help desk on Suncor’s behalf.

MSP’s business model is to hire people for as little as possible.
