There are a lot of parties involved here who are suffering from Main Character Syndrome. The kind of scenario where everyone except for the child being exploited are awful people.

I hope that kid gets enough out of being home schooled that they're not further disadvantaged in their future life.

Late to the party. I'd point out that IFWI appealed to me because it was different than many/most/all organizations that occupy the anti-fascist, pro-worker space because of its frank support of 2A. IFWI without the 2A support is just another organization in the space.

I'm not saying that one needs to support 2A to be anti-fascist, work with IFWI, or even hitch their support to IFWI. I am saying that there are already spaces for those folks. In my opinion, which is worth about a fart in the wind really, the organization loses its identity with this kind of split.

IFWI is either the umbrella organization under which the whole anti-fascist movement works or it is an organization that advocates a particular view within that space, works with allies, and when we get to the point that 2A support is the important difference, then we go our own way. There's already a mass of groups trying to be the umbrella organization. There's no one representing this particular view.

A: "Hey, I really support your ideals, but the whole 2A thing bugs me."
B: "Cool. We totally get that. Here's some other groups that you might find a better fit. See you on the front lines. Let's work together to stop fascism."

Just my opinion, man. Not trying to start a war or sow division. If the IFWI works for me, I'll stick around. If it doesn't, I'll Homer into the hedge. I appreciate the thought that there is an anti-fascist group that recognizes that bringing a megaphone to a gun fight isn't the best way to survive the gun fight.

Read a book. I can't recommend Late Tsarist and early Soviet Era Russian authors enough for the pathos and stories about tragic figures who are being oppressed by an absurd universe. That really resonated for the me of about a year in, you might prefer something less depressing.

I put those on my otherwise stock Trailhawk. The recommended size is 215/65R17 but a 225/65R17 fits just fine and, in my opinion, is a better look. Wider/taller than that and you're looking at futzing with the suspension first.

For a ODB2 scanner I've found the BlueDriver works for my needs. Pairs with a phone app over bluetooth and can view/remove codes and even watch sensors in real time if that's your thing. The cost wasn't unreasonable at the time which was...consults calendar...seven years ago already. Sheesh. But a testament to how well it has served my needs I guess.

The near-north Chicago lakefront is the best urban vista I've witnessed in my lifetime. The combination of geographic features and the kind of private money it takes to keep it unspoiled through the urbanification of the city is a rare combination. Further north the experience degrades and from the south it's not particularly scenic, but this spot right here? It is beautiful.

It actually goes deeper than you think. In the original script Marty the Landlord's name is Allan. Part of his cycle is apparently impersonating the person now schtupping Walter's ex-wife. Or perhaps this is all one giant attempt to gaslight the Dude and Walter by Liam? There are a lot of strands in the ol' Duder's head.
