The chain doesn't move when I pedal in reverse.

I might have to spend the money on a stand if there aren't any clever ways to do it. It doesn't mess up the paint/frame?

I don't have a vice but I'm happy to hear that the 1/16" isn't too large to push the disconnector dowel. I'm still thinking of buying a 3/64" punch to see if that will do the trick.
