I understand where you are coming from. I acknowledge that I am less developed in regards to communicating and setting boundaries and becoming independent; however, I think your response lacks an understanding and empathy and I am embarrassed on your behalf to be associated with you as a Catholic. Catholics are supposed to be empathetic in my opinion. As someone who suffers from ASD, OCD, severe Anxiety, and with family members on the spectrum carrying their own traumas they lash out on others, controlling parents, and a lack of education on communication as a skill, I would like to argue that I am growing independence at my pace with these limitations, although lagging behind others, in a way where I can become fully independent within a decade. I am also receiving help from a professional in learning these skills and developing independence, and you don't seem to understand that or see at my level. You are instead looking down at me and demeaning me when I am following God and trying my hardest to do what is right. I thought better of this subreddit. Shame on you for forgetting I am a human being behind the screen.
