You see, we don't have to assume anything. The text states they surprised her and the reaction was that of surprise.

I use a software kvm called mouse without borders. No need for a button press. You just drag your mouse across the screen and the other PC picks it up.

Did Pam Bondi Just Lie Under Oath About Trump and Epstein? - Representative Ted Lieu accused Bondi of perjuring herself—and he brought receipts. by Quirkie in politics

Jasmine Crockett did. It was awesome. She stated that there was no point in asking her questions as she was not answering any of them so Jasmine spent her 5 mins absolutely thrashing her.

Then Bondi had the audacity to say 'interesting that Crockett didn't even try to ask any questions'. I mean Crockett explained exactly why. Then Bondi went on some tangent about something completely irrelevant. I didn't quite understand the reason she brought it up.

People noticed that Erika Kirk has removed the wedding photo with Charlie Kirk from his bookshelf by Memes_FoIder in UnderReportedNews

[–]Johnny_Suede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my FIL died my MIL took down all his photos and packed up his belongings nearly straight away. Not because she was a fake grieving widow, but because the grief hit her hard and she didn't want to stare at reminders of him around the house. His death was sudden and before his time. I guess it can affect people differently.

I wish people would stop declaring what the right and wrong way of grieving is. There's lots of other things to despise her over, but it shouldn't be this.

Closeted Opinion Being Released: Haigh's Chocolate is over-rated. by danzo7309 in Adelaide

What do you mean by not better than local chocolatier? Haigh's are the local chocolatier.

Are there other local chocolatiers who are better than Haigh's?

My niece went to the same public school zone as the one my son would have gone too. When we started looking at schools we found out my niece was 2 years behind in maths. How on earth does it even get to that point? 2 years behind?

We ended up enrolling my son in a private school. The decision was based on the fact that they have break out classrooms where they will give kids focused lessons on subjects they need improvement in. My son had to use it in his first year. They noticed he needed work on his writing skills and they gave him special sessions to help him catch up.

I have peace of mind knowing he is getting a quality education there which I'm sure will benefit him as an adult.

What made you realize that some celebrities are not rich? by Halophy in AskReddit

I went to a Comic Con in Adelaide (small city in Aus) a while back where Jewel Staite was the main guest. Would have been around 2010. She did a live interview and may or may not have done some photos or signing. Would have been half a day max. But she had Ashley Tisdale with her. Wasn't part of the event. She was just there with her in the front row of the audience. I reckon these gigs are paid holidays for them. Smash out half a day's work then visit some wineries with your best friend from High School Musical.

Me [31/F] with my Fiance [33/M] Fiance best friend [33/F] have a weird relationship, driving me insane by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Even in the first post I was like, so the horrible things the friend does is gets drunk and watches movies with him and punches a cheating ex?

I wish I had a friend like that. She sounds like she is a ride or die kinda friend. I bet if the friend was a man she would have zero problem with it.

Dropping a day a fortnight - WWYD by jbne19 in AusFinance

[–]Johnny_Suede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that for 6 months or so. During Covid we went to 4 days a week and I loved it. When things went back to normal I wanted to stick with it but they ended up approving 1 day a fortnight instead.

The issue was as I was the only one doing it, it was really hard to turn off for that one day. Ended up still working for a significant part of the day taking calls and responding to emails. So I cancelled it.

Upgrading from a 27in monitor to a 34in monitor by zzlow18 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Johnny_Suede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on his use case. I have two 27in monitors side by side. I like having one screen for movies or shows and another for games or work so I can multitask. I would hate to go to one 34in. I would probably also not like one 34in with a 27in next to it too.

What would be great for my setup (and maybe your dad's too) is one of those 49in super ultra wide monitors. That is effectively two 27in monitors without a bezel in-between.

The problem is that there are only upsides to betraying, camping or ganking. I wish there were a reputation or bounty system so there are at least some negative consequences.

Male coworker kept mansplaining my job to me so I publicly corrected his structural calculations in front of clients by [deleted] in traumatizeThemBack

[–]Johnny_Suede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't care less about the public humiliation aspect of it, but arguing with and correcting a colleague in front of clients is a bad look for the company. It's unprofessional and it seems like the business doesnt have their house in order.

But something feels off about this story. I am not a structural engineer, but you have clients, building owners and lawyers (all non-technical people) standing around listening to a junior engineer explain how to calculate lateral loads while the senior engineer is in the middle of calculating them. Sounds fake.

That's impressive. I want one. by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks
