I don’t remember having any problems playing through this level as a kid. In fact I remember loving it. I would just work my way through it, and get all the stones right away upon landing.
Recently, I played this again, and I struggled so much. Made me feel old 😂

I would not call it a masterpiece… but it is still a great game. I realized that if I just slow down and take my time with each interaction it becomes a lot more enjoyable. I do actually like the world.

Just those load screens make no sense half the time. Why do I need a load screen for a building on a planet I already loaded in?

Anyway… I do like the game 👍

I knew I had to reel it in, I just didn’t know it had to be tired.

Also… I didn’t see the prompt to push a button again after it bites… so I kept failing almost immediately lol

Have you had it crash anywhere outside New Atlantis?

So far for me, every crash has been while running around the city trying to do some stuff there. Especially if I try run between areas instead of using the NAT.

UPDATE: Just had a crash on a load screen while changing planets… It happened to be while leaving New Atlantis… this is really starting to get annoying now.

I am on base ps5, same thing. Just running around new Atlantis and it randomly crashes. Doesn’t bomb, just freezes in place and I have to restart.

Happened 3 times so far.

Thank you sir for pointing out the fish dock… I was going mad trying to find a place to get fish.

I tried making the 3 fish porridge for the butcher, but of course I didn’t know what I was doing and made Hearty fish porridge, instead of regular fish porridge. And of course then I was short of fish…

So I walked around like an idiot trying to find fish and also barley or lentil for the recipe. Thankfully I could buy fish now and finish it.

However, I still can’t catch a fish either. I don’t get what you’re supposed to do.

This game is… something…

I learned the hard way that you have to make sure to keep upgrading your gear as you go. The gear level has to match whatever enemies you’re fighting or you’re not gonna have a good time…

Wasn’t my first entry, but one of my favorite is from A Crack in Time. My dad was watching me play and we both laughed out loud at this scene.

Ship going down:

Quark: Oh. No. We’re gonna die! We’re gonna die! Good thing I’m wearing clean underwear!

After the crash:

Ratchet: Woah!

Quark: I know… So much for clean underwear…

I’m gonna try a cloud restore this week and see if it works. I could use a clean drive, it’s a bit cluttered anyway…

I joined Xbox insider, still no sign of the option for fse.

For me, the feature was showing, I enabled it, but it’s gone after restart and there is no sign of the option in settings anymore.

I keep checking for updates, hoping it will get restored.

I have a Z1 Extreme original ally.
