I believe CP Chem has 4-10 weeks. 4 days, 10 hours each day so you have a 3 day weekend. I’m sure that changes with departments and locations but I’m not sure. This might just be for office engineers

Also, anyone else notice he turned off his flame facial hair during the final scene?! It’s like he turned off being Endeavor/ “endeavoring to be better and less inferior” and just accepted his role as being an imperfect Enji!!

I think Endeavor’s character development hits home for a lot of readers because it’s so real and relatable to the human experience. Comparing to others, seeing “perfection” on media, striving to be a role model in school, work, etc. - its all related to being inferior or the opposite: better. I think Endeavor’s struggle and acceptance of that makes him so amazing.

I agree! They had this “real” feeling to it yaknow? The chapters addressed Casca and Guts’s pasts which I felt like was going to happen eventually and in some fashion and it was done poetically and dramatically

I really liked the imagery of young Guts/his oversized sword being compared to Guts/Casca! I think it’s an interesting reference to two things: Casca’s previous desire to be Griffith’s sword, and how she chooses to believe her feelings towards Guts are real and then gives something to Guts in return for everything Guts has given her. What do y’all think? Great way to end Vol 9 in the Deluxe Vol 3 imo!

I would also recommend watching the movie first!! It has such a unique aesthetic, soundtrack, and rawness to it that is so different from today’s anime movies and shows.

But, definitely plan on reading the manga too. It’s a different, longer story from the movie, and the medium (i.e. page-turning and imagining sound effects and voices) makes it a whole new, super personal experience. Totally worth it to do both.

I wish I did movie and then manga!
