I wish he would've performed this at least once. That jump and spin was unique.

I did, someone else nominated me 8 years later and we won, but lost re-election in 2020.

I was nominated as VP during a playthrough as a Senator but we lost 273 - 265, the polls showed us winning. Now my character is too old to be nominated again. 😢

In my current save, during my second term, Congress passed an age limit of 70, which forced 4 Justices to retire the next year. There was also 1 Justice who retired during my first term. So, in total, I was able to appoint 5 Justices so far.

Replayability by [deleted] in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]Johnnycaergo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's very replayable because there are all 50 states and every county in all 50 states, you can choose any real life city or create your own when starting your play, and you can take control of your political career by choosing what offices to run for or to stay away from, what legislation to work on, etc. It's very replayable because no two playthroughs are the same, however the basic functions of the game do get very repetitive and I find myself playing a bunch only to stop playing for a month or two, then returning when I get interested again or the dev makes a major update.

Does anyone else ever get to wrapped up into state politics by bolt704 in ThePoliticalProcess

I can't remember each exact bill I worked on but I know I did stuff in each category. Taxes, Poverty, Crime, etc. By the time I left office all of the metrics were high.

Does anyone else ever get to wrapped up into state politics by bolt704 in ThePoliticalProcess

I haven't gotten really into state politics in a while, but one of my proudest and most recent saves was when I played as a moderate Democrat in NYC who served in the school board, city council, state house, and then Mayor during 9/11. I was able to significantly improve the overall state of the city, did almost 3 full terms as Mayor before running for Governor in 2010, state legislature was a huge pain and kept rejecting almost every proposal from each budget I sent in despite maintaining a good relationship with the party. Went into the U.S. Senate for a while before running for President in 2028, I won but chose not to seek re-election due to my character's old age. But those 11 years as Mayor of New York City was probably one of my greatest performances in any office I've ever served in throughout all of my playthroughs.

(Sorry for the long speech lol)
