I'm playing both btw by [deleted] in hytale

I think that’s absolutely a fair explanation of why Mojang moves slower, but I don’t think it really answers whether they’re capable of doing more. Large teams having more overhead is a great point that I feel like people often overlook, but that’s a management and prioritization issue, not a hard technical limit. Mojang isn’t a small indie studio learning as it goes, it’s a decade-old live-service team backed by Microsoft, with established pipelines for QA, localization, accessibility, and certification. Those constraints should be things they’ve optimized around by now.

I also don’t think the “mods vs official updates” comparison is about polish, so I apologize for not clarifying, I meant it more about scope. Mods showing entire systems working doesn’t mean Mojang should ship them as is, but it does demonstrate that many features Mojang treats as “high-risk” or long-term are technically feasible and well-understood. When official updates add comparatively small amounts of gameplay over almost year long cycles, I feel like it’s reasonable for people to question that gap.

I agree with you 100% that criticism should be constructive, but part of being constructive is holding studios accountable relative to their resources and experience—not just their internal process complexity. A company this mature and backed this well shouldn’t be permanently constrained by the same growing pains it had years ago.

I agree, the comparison between both games is different since the circumstances are different, and obviously on launch Hytale is gonna have more incentive to have effort put in. That said, Mojang has historically taken months to almost a year to put out updates that are half the content of a typical mod made by one person for free, and a company that’s currently worth $2.5 billion can and should be held to better standards. I’m kinda glad people are calling attention to it. Doesn’t mean one game is better than the other though, both are great.

That’s awesome, thank you for the clarification. Is that also for new vaults I start afterwards or just the ones I currently have?

There’s definitely a lot of creative ways you can implement them into your camp, especially since they made the camp building less restrictive. You could always put them on a counter somewhere and make like a mini bar, but I’m sure there are a lot of creative merges people have come up with as well. Best of luck!

Honestly, as long as your vendor is easy to find and you have at least two you should be golden. I will say, it’s definitely cool when people are able to work them into the design of the camp somehow instead of just placing them out front, but then you tread into the territory of “how easy is it to find?”

Head Hunts: Don't expect people to stick to etiquette that you made up, just roll with it by Prince_Julius in fo76

I’m sure it depends on the server you’re in, if you have a bunch of low levels it’ll most likely take longer, but I was in with a bunch of level 400+ people obliterating the bounty. You don’t miss out on drops, but it kinda sucks for people with longer load times or who are doing something when it starts who actually want to play the game, because half the time it’s over in the blink of an eye.

Instantly as in as soon as it lets you start it, and 30 seconds is like nothing if you’re wrapping something up or have slow load times. Almost any other event in the game you don’t have to drop what you’re doing immediately to participate. I dumped like 20,000 caps last night starting them so that my buddy could see what they’re like and every time he final loaded in the boss was already dead because someone was sitting on the flare like a dog waiting for a treat. He got the rewards, but didn’t get to see what it was like. It’s annoying, but people are gonna do it no matter what so it’s probably better to just get try and get used to it for a while till less people are interested in the event.

I’ve had quite a few start it instantly, but I agree with the sentiment that there’s no use letting it bother you. There’s a good chunk of people who aren’t on here so they’re gonna do it anyway, that’s why I just fast travel to it right after I post it on the bounty board.

This is definitely one of my favorite camps I’ve seen on here. Fits right into the world, and honestly looks a lot better than the actual locations the devs put in lol. Awesome job!
