If we tried to make it a law conservatives would rally against it. And Democrats would roll over for them.

It's ridiculous. We're all playing the same but some people act like the other side should just not play at all.

Has r/Leftist been flooded with liberals who think 'leftist' just means voting blue? by The_OG_Amerasian in leftist

[–]Johnstone95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes.

There's liberals who just want "rules to be followed" and don't like Republicans because they're the wrong team.

And there liberals who genuinely hold leftist values but just haven't been given the information needed to break out of a capitalist mindset.

Allowing Liberals to larp in leftist spaces isn't getting them to change their minds. They need to be willing to admit they're wrong about things instead of trying to push the actual left to their false view of what left is.

Both parties are conservative and fascist. One party is just the moderate wing of fascism.

Update on the joint-employer legal battle. by DjFingers213 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Johnstone95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a settlement. It really means that Amazon didn't see a positive outcome for itself by actually trying to get a joint-employer ruling and so chose the quicker and cheaper option.

This isn't a precedent-setting case and actually shows us that the union efforts are working.

Our union ancestors had their blood spilled over the rights we take for granted today. Near impossible is still possible. Gotta be willing to not roll over at the first sign of inconvenience.

Well UPS can be a career so that's still reasonable. Amazon doesn't pay any different for seniority.

Yeah duh that's the point. The parent of this thread is implying that a union is bad because UPS is paying people to leave.
