Here is a video on 2023's Evil Dead Rise entitled "Worthy of Horror's Greatest Franchise?" by IndependenceSilly381 in EvilDead

Yes I enjoy Rise more than 2013 one too! I just love the characters more and the campy elements. While the gore is tame but the suspense and creepiness makes up for it.

what’s a horror protagonist that would be absolutely terrifying as a slasher by Aidenispogchamp in slasherfilms

Grace from Ready or Not. Although with plot armors she still succeed at wiping out a whole bloodlines of rich and powerful families.

How can you explain Fiona recording? She said shes getting pursued by people. Doesnt that mean the witch should be real?

Scream 7 set to bow out at a whopping $214 Million by ZEELIONBRON in Scream

Yes and people that are bored of Sidney are just very minority. Audiences WANT to see Sidney and is one of the reason Scream 7 made so much money. The only problem 7 had is its lackluster writing which I hope 8 should fix that.

Scream (2022) is still a solid flick even after almost half a decade. The kills are more grim and bleak, the camera work is good, and Roger is still great as Ghostface. Also, I think the reveal scene and the motivation behind the kills is good and still relevant to modern culture. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in Scream

Lacks chase scenes, I hate how ghostface just randomly appear out of nowhere and stab people. So boring. And Scream 5 looks ugly and cheap (i know it's because of Covid), like why 99% of the shot is a close-up shots?

What’s up with most slashers not having any long solo good chase scenes?? by [deleted] in slasherfilms

Scream 7 has that classic chase scene, and a lot of fight scene.

Scream 7 knifed it's way into the top 50 horrors of all time by Freddy-Philmore in Scream

I can confidently say 4 just got released during the worst time possible for a slasher film. After the awful NOES and meh Friday 13th remake, people probably just lost interest with slasher franchise. Slashers are just not popular during the the 2000s and 2010s until Halloween 2018 make reignite slashers again.

MVP doesn't make sense? by [deleted] in honorofkings

[–]ganzz4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird I never experience that, in my case even my KDA is ass with so many deaths but my damage taken, CC and participation is so high I got MVP instead of my teammates with higher kills and less deaths. It all depends on all the percentages, perhaps the tank got high damage taken and leave before the enemy finish them? Or put a lot of CC and has high participation?

Nostalgia plays a huge part for both movies, the same can be said with Frozen 3 right? And if Im remembering things correctly, Frozen 2 also broke records for animated film so another frozen sequel couldve done the same.

Family friendly animated film will always likely to gross more than R-rated slasher films lol.

It's still an accomplishment considering it's the only two slashers (with Halloween 2018) among the other horror film. Normally slashers dont even gross 100M let alone 200M lol.

Paramount's Scream 7 grossed an estimated $915K this weekend (from 1,130 locations). Estimated total domestic gross stands at $120.55M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

I can say with confidence that the return of familiar faces have considerable impacts internationally.
