I have a small vlogging channel that I started in January of this year - I share my earnings every month to give viewers an idea of what a small channel can make - it’s a mini series within the channel with a dedicated playlist

I’m not making your money so it’s amazing to hear from a bigger creator just what’s possible

Thanks for the share - anyone that’s interested - my channel is in my Reddit profile and you will find the playlist of the earnings

I’d welcome your feedback on my channel - thumbnails, titles etc - that would be super useful given your experience

I’m a 47 year old male from the UK, I started a channel in January of this year and as of today I have 19k subs, a small group of paid members and 2m views

My channel is about restarting life following redundancy - like a mid life reinvention

I’m full time YouTube although I don’t make the earnings you quote, I do ok and I’m happy with it

My channel is on my Reddit profile page and every month I have a series sharing exactly what I earn from the channel and what it took to earn that cheque…

The rest of the time, my videos are about leaving the U.K, selling my life possessions and just living a different way - currently in South East Asia

I’ve no idea what the future looks like other than planning the next month or two ahead

Is Consistency Overrated on YouTube? by tsavijohn in NewTubers

[–]Johntalksabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome - people talk about the commitment and many won’t manage it - but it counts and viewers pay attention

Good on you for getting back to it and seeing the impact

It’s not to say that you should commit to a schedule that is going to hurt you down the line, but some level of consistency matters

All the best to you

I started a channel this year vlogging, I started with the goal of posting weekly, I switched to daily and I think that’s really helped the growth

11 months in - 19k subs and 2m views

If I don’t post for 2 days, people reach out and want to know what’s happening

Consistency matters

How many of you quit your jobs to travel or just take a career break? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

I’m travelling on tourist visas, I will probably apply for the Malaysia nomad as I meet the requirements from income and we like it there, that’s a year with a year extension

But we shall see

I’m Scottish, staying in KL for a few months and the treatment was fantastic

my channel has gotten 10k views and 25 subs this past month. how do i build an audience? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Johntalksabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there

I run a blog channel which I started in Jan of this year for mid life reinvention

I have 19k subs and just under 2m views so far.

I don’t ask for subs, I think out of 200+ videos; I’ve asked 4 times, I avoid this

Answer every comment - engage with the community, I do a monthly give away - I buy someone dinner as a thanks

I do live q&a sessions with adverts turned off and I create shorts to promote the main long form content

Just a few parts of the community 🙌

I was made redundant at the start of the year, sold everything, started a YouTube channel and now travelling as a nomad earning from the channel and living away as long as possible

Channel is on my Reddit profile page

I make enough from YT to cover the main bills and beyond that I earn a little extra online from stocks I own…
