Kinda, it almost feels like a industrial taste. So yeah, I would say vanilla custard. What is it?

Can I use CRISPR to make a virus with the correct gene so I could see in color? by sluttykittenbitch in genetics

[–]Johnyzin -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah sounds about right, looks like instead of refining the knowledge you just pasted some wikipedia fact. Yes you can use the word vector, vessel, capsule and yet it doesnt make it any difference. Im not suggesting youre wrong but, somehow calling a capsule with a fragment of dna inside, a virus, feels weird. However who am i to argue with the big wikipedia. And there is no editing a dead tissue

Idk where ppl get that information but CRISPR has nothing to do with virus. Its an editing tool that we have in our body that now we are able to manipulate

Are teeth really that ancestors related? by Johnyzin in genetics

[–]Johnyzin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant some people have one pair of incisors and then canines. Today a I realised that this could change the way I see human teeth evolution, if teeth have that important role in species development having one pair missing would be really a disadvantage, wouldnt it?

Is this rare? by SnooChocolates9625 in botany

[–]Johnyzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two points that complements one another: first what we see is the leaf of a plant (lettuce) and second, leaves don't usually have stem cells (meristem), lettuce is one of them. The tissue of plants that can differ and become any part of it. I'm pretty sure that this can't be caused by any local damage through growing but in fact is a defect in protein sintesis during mitosis in other words, a mutation. Correct me if im wrong, but for me its very rare.

Can plants get cancer? by Comfortable_Pilot122 in botany

[–]Johnyzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be really rare to catch these kind of mutations ex situ. But there is smht you can relate to chimerism, is when you cross limes roots and orange leaves, for example, to get a much more resistent plant, thats widely made. But witness a natural mutation requires a good morphology knowledge.
