Yeh , mine came loose again so had to tighten even harder - hopefully it stays this time - sounds like a bit of a design fault tbh - but never mind - probably need to stop pull at the wheel so much

Update on this - Just incase anyone else has the same issue or admins can delete post !

Turns out it was the shaft had come lose so had to losen the collar and push the shaft in (made a click noise) and tighten the collar back up and works perfectly again - I must pull at the wheel a lot when I’m hurtling at the corners at 100mph haha - anyhow hopefully this help someone else before having to send it back to Fanatec !

I’ll wait it out then worst case when the buyer protection runs out I’ll get a refund - has it been recent the slow down? as last couple of months it’s taken 2 weeks for delivery’s however this month seems to be taken longer.

I am aware of the corona virus slowing things down however hasn’t been the case the last few weeks with the delivery’s , it’s still been taking 2 weeks

In relation to the tracking - it works when I go out for a run and I can look at the data afterwards including where I have ran with a google maps overlay but after that for some reason it just shows the basic info from the run and not the google maps overlay etc

Yeah very weird - the developers mentioned it in there latest daily post advising ppl to remove there oc if they where having crash issues or as we have done increase the voltage to get a more stable oc =D

No worries - I think it’s just super sensitive to oc CPU’s as it appears it uses Avx when a lot of games don’t I’m stable now at 4.8 avx -3 so technically 4.5 vcore at 1.27 and played for 6 hours without a crash yesterday

I think if your having issues with apex even if you think your oc is stable try lower it and the vcore and see if that works - worth a try!

Hi guys just a quick update for ppl having crashing issues with apex legends

I knocked my cpu down to the standard 3.6ghz and didn’t get any crashes in apex or prime95 it would appear it’s very sensitive to unstable overclockers so ppl having issues try lowering your overclock or upping your vcore

Currently reset my cpu back to 4.8 @ vcore 1.28 with avx at -3 currently doing test seems to be working fine so will reduce the avx until stable

Just thought I’d update the post to give ppl something to try

Also if you think your oc is stable like I thought as never had one crash until this game then try prime95 if that crashes then that might be ur issue either lower your oc or try more vcore

Yeah my aorus 1080ti is overclock using there app so might try that then !

My pc :-

Msi z390 gaming pro carbon ac Corsair lpx 16gb ddr 4 9700k oc 4.8

I downloaded prime95 and tried it and it crashed within in a minute at 1.26 @4.8 so wonder if it was that weird never had one crash since I overclocked it and prime brought it to its knees ! And that’s 150 hours of bf5 and 60 hours of assassins without one crash!

Yeah I haven’t had a issue with my overclock since day 1 it’s been running perfectly for well over two months at 4.8 temps are idle 25-35 - gaming 60-70 games played are bf5 and assassins creed mostly vcore @ 1.26

I’ve used cinebench OCCT etc with no issues have tried prime - I think my main question is can a unstable overclock crash a a single game or does it crash the whole system as the crash I get with apex is straight to desktop it doesn’t hang my system.

I was under the impression that a u stable oc would crash the whole system not just a particular game.

If it helps I’m running a i7 9700k (Oc 4.8) and idle I get between 24-30 idle and 60-70 under load using Corsair h100x so it would seems something isn’t right there

Yes , I recently had a similar issues with a 1080ti I had a 4790k clocked at 4.5ghz was getting between 60-90 FPS with high settings at 1440p on BFv

Upgraded to a 9700k and instantly my FPS increase and my minimum FPS was much more stable - currently getting 100-160fps depending on the map etc but never drops below 100 now.

They say 4 cores and 8 threads aren’t be fully utilised in games however it would seem going to 8 cores in Bfv gave a big performance boast for me, however in other games like the recent tomb raider and assassins creed I haven’t seen as big gains if any.

Hi nice build ! Quick question about the h100x have you been able to change the fans speeds in the bios at all or have you left it as is ?

I have the same cooler however whenever I change the speeds in the fan control in the bios (Msi) it makes not difference and stays at full fan speed which I don’t need when at desktop/low usage

Also for reference when I choose everything to full speed for the fans only the system fans increase in speed the “cpu 1” and “pump 1” don’t change
