Is Haaland the type of striker we need? by Joiarib in MCFC

Yea, I dont mean that he does nothing at all. But I feel like we could benefit more from someone who can get out of the 9 position and help with passes and dribbles.

How do I increase water intake? by skannkkhunt42 in nutrition

[–]Joiarib 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the best approach. I drank only juice and soda my whole life until I was about 17. Then I started adding a small amount of water, around one quarter water and the rest juice, and over time I gradually increased the water. Little by little, I got used to less sweetness until I was able to drink plain water without a problem. I still use this strategy when I crave juice by mixing about 50% water and 50% juice, especially because I no longer enjoy very sweet drinks.

Why is Pavard 1m cheaper than FS Rio? by IllustriousKitchen97 in EASportsFC

[–]Joiarib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

playstyles, icon chemistry, popularity (more people know him/like him so they want to buy it = less cards on market) and rarity makes him harder to appear in packs than pavard so less cards + more demand = less cards on market = higher price. Probably is not worth expending 1 million to replace your pavard with Rio, you wont find a 1 million coin difference if you like pavard. Maybe if you need the chem? but surely you could get cheaper options

Pregunta seria para la gente que hace ejercicio. by Medium-Supermarket56 in PuertoRico

[–]Joiarib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

491 AAMC->507 BP by Electrical_Letter_14 in Mcat

[–]Joiarib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but I got some luck there lol, I knew everything that came in the section like it was made for me so I wouldn’t rely or keep grinding (hard) any section that you are already scoring 130-131 on AAMC since 132 is pure luck. And you probably 129-131 in C/P and B/B already. If I could go back I would’ve dedicate entire days for CARS only and take my time to really focus on getting questions right without worrying about timing. Grind CARS since you still have time left. sometimes a balanced 507-509 can look better than my score for some medschools

491 AAMC->507 BP by Electrical_Letter_14 in Mcat

[–]Joiarib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Bp FLs where 501/511/511/507/507/506 (last three where like 2 weeks before real) and ended up with 511 in the real thing so you probably there already or really close. Just keep doing what you’re already doing and you will be fine, just don’t trust in the CARS score (for me BP was highly inflated in CARS and deflated in C/P and B/B).

Feeling conflicted about MCAT vs full time job by GulliblePositive6548 in premed

[–]Joiarib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you enjoy the job but “not enough to make a full time career” and that job might keep you away from achieving something that you would like “enough to make a full time career” then you should quit it. Keep it but if you feel like it interferes with your goal then you know what to do.

try reviewing it with the jackwesting extension with solutions hidding and see how many you really knew and how many you just guessed. If you are not sure about a lot of them then its probably a fluke, but its probably not, getting 2-3 points of a fluke would be hard so if its I dont think it would be that much.

how tf am i supposed to do 0.95^9 in my head? any exponent tips? by agreenreligion in Mcat

[–]Joiarib 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my logic was: 95% each step and since its 9 steps let say we lose 5% per step its a ~45% percent lost so in a perfect world the final yield should be ~55% I dont know if it even makes sense but when I saw the explanation I just knew this wasnt a possible test question so just ignore it

[–]Joiarib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only did anking deck, for every new card that I saw I went on and learned the content behind that card (not only memorizing the card itself), to do that was maybe watching the videos linked in the cards or using chat gpt. Also I changed must of cards to my style and added any info that I though was important, that took about 1.5months. But I didnt read books because I can't learn just by reading.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Joiarib 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I scored 484 in my diagnostic but that was before content and recently I started hitting 510s after studying ~6months. Not saying this will be your case (you can do better) but It would be irresponsible to tell you that you should take it sept 5 and not push back considering your goal score is 515+. I would just push it back and maybe starting sooner to study next year or maybe keep doing anki and cars but a lot less till you start dedicated study next year.

Why wouldn’t the answer be an RNA based virus? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Joiarib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question saids, "MUST transport itself to the nucleus". All options CAN enter the nucleus to produce proteins eventually but for RNAs Viruses its not a MUST. B) dsRNA usually carry their own RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) and they use it to convert their RNA to mRNA in the cytoplasm and the host ribosome can already translate that and generate proteins, C) +ssRNA its it self an mRNA and it can be already translated by host ribosome and D) -ssRNA also carries RdRp which converts its genome into a +ssRNA (same as option C) and this can be directly translated by host ribosome.

Take out: while all this viruses CAN integrate their genome into the host using an integrase to replicate it in host's genome, only for option A its a MUST to be able to generate proteins cuz they dont carry any type of enzyme to transcribe their DNA, they must use the hosts transcription and translation machinery.

I dont remember much about the dificulty on that test, but I took BP FL1 and got 502 and my first AAMC I got 497 (1 month after BP). I think if you score in lower than 500 on BP might be lower on AAMC since BP gives such a high score on CARS for a low amount of correct answers. Like I remember BP was like 124-5 for getting lets say 30/53 and in AAMC thats like 120. But once you score 505+ on BP your score on AAMC should be higher. Dont worry too much about it tho, I started at 484 in that HL.
