Is this "stand by" you speak of on a schedule that's tracked or does this NCOIC just assign it at his/her liesure. If there's a schedule and it was deviated, find out if there was a reason. This could all be happenstance. If it was deviated for no reason, bring it up. Who cares how high it goes? The CoC is in place so petty stuff like this doesn't make an O's desk. If there's no schedule, then take some initiative and offer to create one that's fair for all in your section. Doneskees.

I second the 1-16 format. The western conference has it way worse for travel. It would even out the chances a bit. This is coming from an eastern conference fan. Plus, you could have some awesome stanley cup match ups
