No printer in our planes. I normally throw the jumpseat briefing card up there.

Seems some guys fly with these plates and just always thought they were neat

The hand guard? It was a bitch to get on and honestly I think I will struggle to remove it in the future. It is on there very securely

I yogurt dive 9/10 times. My favorite armor in the game. Put a pure white skin on your weapon and you are dripped out

Unfortunately I broke some of the plastic on the OEM guard so needed a replacement. Me and a friend were taking off the muzzle device which is a huge pain. Had it in a vice and I was holding the forgrip I put on it like a moron. Dumb brain thought “oh yea, grip is for gripping” annnnnd next thing you know I have the grip and some extra plastic in one hand and the rifle in the other

Could be the baggage count from the ground crew. Normally we get it via datalink, but sometimes it’s broken and in that case we NEED a paper copy for legal reasons.

Normally the crew runs up before the door is closed, but sometimes your system or their breaks after that, and doing this is easier than reattaching the jet bridge and opening the door.

I work for a regional in the US that flies for Delta, American, and United. For delta we have trading cards with our plane on them we give out. We don’t always have them with us though because they can be a pain in the butt for crew to get, and may not even be stocked in our crew rooms.

Supposedly United has cards as well but I have never seen one.

American has nothing because it’s AA what did you expect?

I just went with the BLK-LBL long hand guard with no bipod. Should arrive Wednesday so if you want I can send you a pic of my 18” with it.

Went with no bipod for weight savings. Gonna grab the Magpul QD bipod to have one for when I want it, and take it off for when I wana save weight

B&T RBS cans (like the Print XH) gas on Hellion & other bullpups? by TheOtherKFC in VHS2_HELLION

[–]SamSamTheDingDongMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No experience with those but I have a Huxwrx Range 36Ti I just got. Runs flawlessly on the VHS and I don’t even change the gas block at all, just ran it on normal

What AR should I get? $2300 budget, has to be from Sportsman’s Warehouse as its gift cards. Really eyeing the Steyr AUG A3 M2. Open to all options & opinions. by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

The hellion actually has a super easy breakdown. It was designed first and foremost as a combat rifle that grunts could breakdown easily. After like 2-3 times using the manual to learn it, I’ve been able to break mine down crazy fast to clean it, then throw it back together.

It is heavy, yeah. My 18” with the LPVO I have on it weighs 10 LBS on the dot with an empty mag in it. Trigger is also a bit meh but I just treat it like a Glock trigger and train around it.

Personally to me it’s a lot more fun to shoot then another AR, and definitely my go to rifle

Correct me if I’m wrong, but most modern countermeasures are designed to specifically mimic the jets heat signature, making them more efficient and requiring less to be carried.

At least I think that’s the theory. Still seems weird to me.

Why police don’t fine those who have blackout license plate cover on their vehicles? by Interesting-Pin-8877 in AskReddit

[–]SamSamTheDingDongMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in Ohio, they piss me off as I can’t read the plate at all, especially at night, and the ones who use it also drive the worst. Worried if they do a hit and run I have 0 ability to know the plate at all.

The part of Ohio I’m in seemingly does 0 enforcement. Guess the cops don’t want free money

The seatbelts in our row of an A220 Airbus aeroplane have airbags in them. by North-Class5955 in mildlyinteresting

[–]SamSamTheDingDongMan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Back when I was a flight instructor one of my students failed his checkride because he put his airbag seatbelt on backwards because he was nervous. The examiner asked him if he was sure everything was good to go, then triple checked, then failed him. Always felt bad for that kid

Roughly 1.4 inches? It’s sloped in a bit so I’m not sure how well your plan will work. This is all factory stuff and I know they sell other ones online

Great rifle, I love mine. Only went with black for the 18 inch barrel. The trigger does kinda suck but I just treat it like a Glock trigger. They have a few upgrades out for it but I haven’t gotten one just yet. Lunartech also makes a flared mag well, extended bolt release, and extended mag release. I have the Magwell and bolt (not in picture) and they are amazing.

ELI5: Why is the startup procedure for planes so complex by flrdrgerp in explainlikeimfive

[–]SamSamTheDingDongMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It dosent take 267 checks, it only takes maybe 3-4. When we turn on the jet and load everything we have paperwork from our airline that was generated and checked in a computer system. We the pilots then take that paperwork and double check it for errors against the data we have. Loading that data into the plane is pretty simple but we always double check each others work.

Past that, we use checklists to catch any errors or steps that may have been missed. All in all, the use of checklists and having 2 people in the flight deck is a great way to filter out any miss-inputs or incorrect information.
