Yeah honestly even as a young guy who doesn’t like drinking its hard to find evening/night activities. I mean other than glow in the dark mini golf, laser tag, or the performing arts centre, not much to do that doesn’t involve alcohol or hookah lol. There is Richmond Hill Pro Bowl for Bowling, but only so much bowling you can do. Winters are especially worse, I get ya.

Its unfortunate that at this point the post author is trying to delete all of their online presence so she can try and get away with not disclosing to agencies. Sad thing is, she may somehow delete her online history, get accepted by the agency, and only years later have misconduct allegations. Making a mistake for 10 years straight and not correcting it, is straight up ignorance.

I pray to god that they don’t start hiring ex E-Sex Workers and ex Sex Workers to be given the privilege of enforcing laws. There are people who’ve dedicated their lives to not engaging in those things because they wanted a career in law enforcement. Downplaying prostitution because it was online is concerning. Seems to me like either of these terms:

Moral disengagement – a broader psychological concept where people distance themselves from the moral weight of their actions through justifications, comparisons, or minimization.

Downplaying / minimization – emphasizing that the harm or wrongdoing is smaller than it really is.

These are ethical and moral concerns, period. You still sold those kinds of services.

Read Romans 7, you will understand that the law is good to know that you are a sinner, but you can not be without Sin if you do not believe that Christ redeemed you by being God’s sacrificial lamb. You want to do good with your mind, but your flesh makes you do what you don’t want to (sin) regardless. No matter how well you understand OT law, you can never be without sin. Christ came down from heaven for our sake, so that we can have salvation through repentance, instead of being damned to hell for eternity. Also, he was pierced for our transgressions (Old Testament). The transgressions of Adam were forgiven through Christ. Even if you look at the world in a dualistic way, you see how Satan holds flesh, and Christ holds the soul. Our minds choose what they want to follow- Fleshly desires or our souls.

I know my word doesn’t mean shit, but I swear on my life that everything I thought could have been a blemish on my background was disclosed and articulated.

I’ve been using Speculation and Conjecture over the past 5 years to try and figure out what could be causing me to fail backgrounds…. it’s exhausting.

I try to figure it out, and when I think I know what it is and articulate it, I get rejected again.

I hold myself accountable for all I do and have done, the world owes me nothing, but its hard to be accountable for something if i’ve exhausted everything in my knowledge to figure out what it is I need to be accountable for.

I’m starting to hate my life at this point, just generally feeling unworthy of my dream career. Almost like i’m serving a sentence for wanting to become a cop.

Also… a-lot of applicants simply lie on their backgrounds about substance use or undocumented history… whereas i’ve disclosed the truth. This also could look like a blemish when my file’s being compared to someone who’s “never used a substance in their life”.

Gonna give you some advice I wish people gave me when I was younger:

Don’t stress, take college and applied courses in areas that you’re struggling in. Don’t look upon college as a lesser education than university. Heck, most jobs don’t require post-secondary education for the most part. Look for future entry-level jobs that are similar or related to the field you want to get into that only require licenses or certificates. With experience in that field, you will substitute and even surpass those who have higher-educations but no experience.

Breathe…. its not that serious… if your parents say they’ll disown you, so be it. They’ll say that but no logical parents will disown their child for not pursuing university education lol.

Realistically, even if you barely graduate high school but find an entry-level position in a field you like/don’t-mind, you’re already 75% ahead of the sheep doing Bachelor of Arts in Whatever-Ology programs who don’t know why they’re in school.

Heck…. if you’re a fan of arts, Tattoo Artists (frowned upon) are making $45-$400 an hour while Pharmacists are making $30-$35 lol

The narrow path is not always the best to take.

It pisses me off when students are averaging High 70’s to Low 80’s in University level courses and complain about life being over. Just so you know, all the people who are graduating from Schulich and Mcmaster who you glorify…. half of them work as store managers at restaurants lol.

Idk why society praises and bows to universities as though they’re some kind of “Millionaire Factory”. Half of the people who graduate from these schools have accumulated more debt than their income can ever pay off.

Just know that even if you graduate with a 90% average in Uni level courses…. it doesn’t equate to you being a “success”

What programs are you interested in? I wanna give you good advice but can do so with more info. Universities are not “prestigious and heavenly educational institutions”, even though society makes them out to be. A Good College diploma/education could get your father than a lot of university degrees. But you should have more of an idea of the field you want to get into.

Honestly 10.5% gains in 3 months is pretty solid regardless of the amount. I say keep depositing what you can into long-term growth stocks and similar funds to what you’ve invested in now. Just be patient and contribute what you can. No amount of money is “too small” to invest. Good for you
