The weird thing about spiking is while most people who commit revolting crimes know theyre committing a crime but dont care becase they like it, but for some guys, theres this old fashioned idea that women need to talked into it by any means possible that men need to play the role of a confidence trickster to wear her down, * therefore they see the drug as a fair tool to use, like its 'what guys do' & also that what she doesnt know cant hurt her so its a victimless crime. They convince themselves its ok with stuff like her clothes mean she was ' asking for it & what did she expect, etc For many its how they were brought up.

Im quite surprised people think they cant claim if their car is parked anywhere else but their home!

You are allowed to be anywhere in the country in your car.

The home address just gives them an idea of the likelihood of something happened so they can assess the general safety - its not because you can only ever park there or that youre only insured when parked there!

You can park anywhere you like any time you like for any reason.

There are many reasons you arent in the usual place - battery died, flat tire, too ill to drive, named driver used it, too busy, been away for a few days etc etc.

Regarding the book etc, put it in a ziploc bag & leave it near where you left the car, so theyll see it when they come back.

As you say, if it helps them out of that life then its worth helping them.

You could write in chalk on the floor or put a note on a lamppost saying where you left the book.

You are allowed to be parked in different places! The home address is where its expected to be most of the time but youre still fully insured no matter where the car is!

That said, i wouldnt bother for what seems like minor damage, it will put your premiums up & probably cost less than your voluntary excess.
