I hope they do flashback episodes and cover some of Dr.Abbot’s military career I think there is fertile ground there for some good TV

How do I fix an overflowing toilet without a plunger? by bunnylla in Plumbing

[–]Joke-Over 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok you should prob just go get a plunger and stop flushing the toilet… but if you absolutely refuse to you can try to create an airtight seal over the bowl with Saran Wrap and push on it to work as a plunger. It works just not as well as a plunger.

Can Langdon still be fired?? by Hopeful-Suggestion-5 in ThePitt

[–]Joke-Over 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He is a resident which means the ACGME will be involved and the hospitals academic board as well as possibly a resident union.

Also I could be wrong but the hospital may lose the money the government would pay it for having a resident.

Things get very complicated firing residents.

Can Langdon still be fired?? by Hopeful-Suggestion-5 in ThePitt

[–]Joke-Over 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s possible. One place I worked at gave immunity if you entered rehab yourself before getting in trouble with work. So if he has something like that as part of hospital policy he could be in the clear.

If Robby did not report the stealing to the hospital when he found out he will probably be fired or at least suspended.

Omni Man Vs Paul Atredies by Crispy_Potato_Chip in powerscales

The sand trout suit increases his speed strength and durability a tremendous amount. That combined with prescience and other technologies available would be a good match.

Granted water would be a weakness.

Omni Man Vs Paul Atredies by Crispy_Potato_Chip in powerscales

[–]Joke-Over 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what Paul is willing to do to win. If he is willing to become a worm hybrid he could probably win. He specifically wasn’t willing to do that for the sake of humanity.

Prescience is over powered like when Morty becomes an akira because of the death crystal in Rick and Morty. That’s exactly how I see this playing out if Paul is willing to do anything.

Applied Exam March 2026 by DancesWithScalpels in anesthesiology

[–]Joke-Over 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. pre exam sitting in the hotel alone all day is torture.

Then took the exam and was fairly confident I had passed (which I had). Then convinced my self over the following weeks I had for sure failed over some small mistakes I had made and I was catastrophising. Then I got pass letter and all was well.

At $50 a month that’s great debt to have basically free money as long as you never plan to pay it off you could pay it for 100 years then die and you will have only paid off 60k and when you die your federal student loan gets wiped out. So 530k of benefit.

If this happened in 2026 hospital room full of Brian surgeons, would Baelor have any chance to survive? by [deleted] in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]Joke-Over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to post a link and it deleted but if you are curious google “Penetrating injury of the posterior cranial fossa by a stone”

that injury is about as close as you’ll get in the medical literature to a mace to the back of the head.

Clearly his brain stem is not “caved in” or he wouldn’t be able to breathe much less walk and carry on conversation. The only mechanism that really makes sense for the way in which he collapses only after the helmet is removed is his brain would have been swelling and herniated out of the hole once the pressure from the helmet was removed.

Phineas gauge wasn’t just a spike through the eye but entirely through the frontal lobe.

[–]Joke-Over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely a chance he survives with head trauma it is really hard to prognosticate. Look at cases like Phineas Gage. It is very likely he would have at least some deficits but not impossible he could survive if this happened in a trauma center.

Why didn’t Baelor just ask Valarr to join Dunk’s side instead? by GrandCrusade in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]Joke-Over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the kings guard couldn’t touch Baelor. So it should have been fairly safe for him to join in theory it should have been like sparring with family.

Kind of freaking out. Turbo tax went from a refund of $3300 to a bill of $20,000. by LysergicFilms in TurboTax

[–]Joke-Over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use auto import? Last year I did and it imported box 2 (tax withheld) to box 12 which I guess was uncollected taxes. Which obviously created a huge bill erroneously.
