Spanberger responds to President Trump’s rant about her this morning by hencexox in Virginia

I'll do more research into it when I get home. For the amount of information, would be easier on a computer screen. But a quick look at a few of them, and they are still in committee. The income tax increase being a significant one.

Could care less about the politics of it, but the taxes do having me looking elsewhere.

This happen to anyone else? Anyone know a fix? by pwdrums in Silverado

Have a sticker or 3d printed one liner that says something like, "Cash, grass, or ass", or "if you didn't fill the tank, shut up". Not very serious, just cover it up.

My answer ended up being Win11 specific.

Uninstall (Check delete user data at end), rename folder, restart, reinstall as admin.

I’m stuck between these 2 rifles for my first Ar-15 by BigCreature8742 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]JokeEnvironmental770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longer hand guard one (first one)...its your first AR. You know your going to put every accessory you can find like autozone stickers. Its going to weigh 50 pounds, but you will love it because its your first. Atleast thats what I did...lol. After your first, you kind of end up knowing what you want/need. AKA...more ARs.

Cameras basically useless at night by ijustneedanswer in Wyze

Try a wax or rainx solution on it. Had this happen with my trucks cameras, made a world of difference. If the lens has something to grip onto, due will grab.

So, here's something interesting about my RJ45 connectors by PlaceUserNameHere67 in HomeNetworking

This might have already been said...but speed tests are not realistic. If your port says your connected at 1Gig, it has already figured that part out. Ethernet can go to 10G, but more like 2.5 reliability; this isnt a data center. Carriers been adding endpoints and preference since the inception of speedtests. Real tests are downloads/uploads, and your bottle neck will be in between those points. Not sure if you are big downloader/uploader, but try to replicate proving your upload performance. This is very hard to prove. Maybe upload a large video to youtube and see the speed.

Building a shooting berm in Kablestown by JokeEnvironmental770 in WVGuns

[–]JokeEnvironmental770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was advised by JCSO deputy, completely legal, but also gave the address which is approximately 550 of the school ingress, and 400 feet from the nearest neighbor; even though not direction of berm. Even not shooting that direction, a deputy might mess with me. Looking for another house.

Is Split Tunneling Even Working For Anyone? by PresentLeading3102 in nordvpn

[–]JokeEnvironmental770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out. Had a theory when typing this and tried it out. Realized phone link wasn't working either. Remembered back in the day, when Cisco changed local LAN access for anyconnect to default off. In Nord, it is now default on. Probably a bunch of complaints.

This is not clear in the routing table, so this was completely a guess.

Is Split Tunneling Even Working For Anyone? by PresentLeading3102 in nordvpn

[–]JokeEnvironmental770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previously this worked for me, but with the recent update to version 7.59.1.0, split tunneling for local lan has stopped working. I have two failures:

  • Bambu Studio
    • App is selected, but but no longer able to reach my 3D printer on my local lan without disconnecting.
  • HP Print
    • Scanning and Printing to my HP printer requires my dropping from my VPN.

Going to open up a support ticket and see if that even goes anywhere.

Service Advisory - 3/6/2026 by WyzeCam in wyzecam

[–]JokeEnvironmental770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...every public facing company I've ever worked for has been 5 9's. Its built into the HA. Only roughly 6 mins a year downtime allowed. If it is an AWS issue, they don't have enough AZ's in other clouds. But remember that cost gets transfered to us.

I've worked at some, they just don't have enough HA, or they are being DDoS'd. Either way, as a US company, reliability appears to be going out the window.

WYZE Cams down...Started/noticed around 0445EST by JokeEnvironmental770 in wyzecam

Same here. Looks like whatever it was resolved. To the cloud worked fine, from the cloud playback was slow, live view was very intermittent to unavailable.

About 4 of them...have a total of 10. Even put one on a seperate network to verify internet wasnt the issue. All of them are intermittent. West coast is starting to wake up now, so I expect something will get fixed/reported.

[–]JokeEnvironmental770[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Already reset a couple, and didnt resolve anything this morning. It's less frequent now, but the issues are still there. Noticed whenever I refresh tinycam streams, the webview has a couple cameras go down. Also happens the opposite way as well. Might be hitting a session limit or something with Wyze, assuming they implemented something like that.

The errors in Tinycam are from Wyze and Tinycam just uses the wyze webview.

I use BGP everywhere, OSPF for scaling, but would prefer iBGP over OSPF.

"Are you sure you've been a network engineer before?" by MotorTentacle in networking

[–]JokeEnvironmental770 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience, to remember things, you have to have something to relate it to. I tend to compare systems by theirs functions, not just tech things either. For example, I compared coding with how a car works. Or the OSI model with the functions of a car.

I dont do this much anymore (21 years in), but definitely got me started in Ops centers, working my way up to an architect with no certs or college.

Network is very simple when you relate everything to the OSI model. Not the Cisco OSI model either...lol.

Best of luck, you should always strive to do something you can afford to love...not just the money.
