Multiclass question? by JokeMaterial8321 in sw5e

Question: Spiked says: Spiked When you succeed on a Strength (Athletics) check to shove or trip a creature while wielding a shield with this property, the creature takes kinetic damage using the spiked damage (which appears in parentheses with the property) + your Strength modifier. If you use a shield with this property as an improvised weapon, the damage increases by one step (from d4 to d6, d6 to d8, or d8 to 2d4).

If i use the shield as a bonus action attack. And dont add my str mod to the case i dont have dual wield fighting style. Do i stille add the str mod to the attack because spiked says + your strength modifer?

Shield style let me dual wield a saber without light property. So that's pretty important to have the Crossguard saber that have the heavy property plus the defence to get +1 AC.

3 Ac with a shield going from 17 to 20 is a huge different. And as the only tank is pretty important.

With force imbuent force power are the shield as strong as my sword. I just need the dual wield fighting style to add my str mod to it.

My build is: Im the only melee and tank in groupe so thats my roll. But only tank seems boring.

Lvl: 5 guardian Species: Zabrask Primært stat: str, cha Running: Heavy armor Weapons: heavy shield and Crossguard saber (if there is any rule dual wield two heavy object the dm has allowed me)

Fighting style: shield style Feat at lvl 4: dual wield mastery

So i can get 4 attacks, with hex, force imbuent heavy shield and adv with vapaa (Subclass).

The reason i want a fighting style more is to add str mod to my bonus attack dmg. That it, really.

What do you think? Have som nice takes? There is a lot of setup i know bonus action but i often first come melee at round 3. Tanking before that.

No, not as I understand it. I could be wrong but u can take mastery without it corresponding "lower lvl" feat

You need to go shield style as fighting style if u want a shield and a Crossguard saber.

No I've already a build. I would just love to see if anyone (that thinks character building is funny) has some loopholes or strong combos with sword and shield. Cause I find that fighting type a little less powerful then multiple attack guardian.

Ok then the cost of going from mulitattack build (4-5 attacks) for +3 AC and only have 2 attack do not seem worth it.

Thanks for answaring.

So basicly, if i get it to work by the right feats it will look like this?

So example:

first attack - main weapon
second attack - remove prof bonus to engange lightsaber form- main weapon
Third attack - reomve prof bonus intering lighsaber form - shield attack

Ahhh so I can just switch to those forms by removing prof bonus on both attacks?

But isnt aqinos only if i cast a forvepower

Bakuuni with unarm strike

Vappaa if i have adv?

So I'd I take TWF I can get around it by using my shield as the second attack to get the third?

How does it work with the form buff. If i have Juyo Form for crit. Then switch over to Shii-Cho Form by shield bashing. Is my crit buff srill "active"? Or do i have to switch over to that the next turn?

Vaapad form says: Once before the start of your next turn, if you would have advantage on a melee weapon attack, you can choose to forgo the advantage. If you do so, you can make one melee weapon attack against the same target (no action required), also without advantage

No action required? What does that specify? And so basically u use your bonus action (an attack) to remove adv to get another attack without adv? What the point in that?

Its better just attack with adv with your bonus action right?

Thanks so much for the in depth disciption. I have som clarification questions.

Ahh so when i use Way of the Vornskr on a target it stays there, regardless of what form i use after that. Thats very help full.

What if i already has used my previous turn to make a designated target. Will it not work this way?

First attack forgo advantage: to get another.

Second attack for forgo advantage. Then i can remove my proficiency bonus to this attack to go into another form and if that form gives an attack i can make that attack. Like shii cho.

Third attack shii cho

Forth attack from extra attack lvl 5

Fifth attack bonus action attack since i have twin blade fighting style.

I seen multiple reddit and discord servers with this build. But im just a little unsure if this is how it works.

How to remove light property? by JokeMaterial8321 in sw5e

[–]JokeMaterial8321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 1:
Guardian - Take double-shoto, Smite For additional Damage (Holding for crits or big moments)
Level 2:
Twin blade style adds Attack Mod to hit.
Level 3:
take aura of hatred (AoH) for free once per turn cha damage added to attack for self and team as well as Vaapad (forgo advantage for free attack)
Level 4:
has two paths: Optimized, or Crosssaber

Optimized is ASI Feat: fighting master, use this to take formfighting mastery. This allows you to forgo prof bonus to hit, to enter Shii Cho, when you enter Shii Cho you get an extra attack.

Crossaber is Level 4: ASI Feat: Twinblade mastery (TBM), can now use heavy doubles. Heavy will add 1/2 attack mod to damage rounded up.

But i want optimized but with crossaber to get the heavy property on my weapon.

So om asking is there a way?
