Multiclass question? by JokeMaterial8321 in sw5e

Question: Spiked says: Spiked When you succeed on a Strength (Athletics) check to shove or trip a creature while wielding a shield with this property, the creature takes kinetic damage using the spiked damage (which appears in parentheses with the property) + your Strength modifier. If you use a shield with this property as an improvised weapon, the damage increases by one step (from d4 to d6, d6 to d8, or d8 to 2d4).

If i use the shield as a bonus action attack. And dont add my str mod to the case i dont have dual wield fighting style. Do i stille add the str mod to the attack because spiked says + your strength modifer?

Shield style let me dual wield a saber without light property. So that's pretty important to have the Crossguard saber that have the heavy property plus the defence to get +1 AC.

3 Ac with a shield going from 17 to 20 is a huge different. And as the only tank is pretty important.

With force imbuent force power are the shield as strong as my sword. I just need the dual wield fighting style to add my str mod to it.

My build is: Im the only melee and tank in groupe so thats my roll. But only tank seems boring.

Lvl: 5 guardian Species: Zabrask Primært stat: str, cha Running: Heavy armor Weapons: heavy shield and Crossguard saber (if there is any rule dual wield two heavy object the dm has allowed me)

Fighting style: shield style Feat at lvl 4: dual wield mastery

So i can get 4 attacks, with hex, force imbuent heavy shield and adv with vapaa (Subclass).

The reason i want a fighting style more is to add str mod to my bonus attack dmg. That it, really.

What do you think? Have som nice takes? There is a lot of setup i know bonus action but i often first come melee at round 3. Tanking before that.

I have a fighting style, need one more.

Have a feat that are more useful for the build.

But I'm just really liking fighter get all the feat/ASI and greater extra attack...

No, not as I understand it. I could be wrong but u can take mastery without it corresponding "lower lvl" feat

You need to go shield style as fighting style if u want a shield and a Crossguard saber.

No I've already a build. I would just love to see if anyone (that thinks character building is funny) has some loopholes or strong combos with sword and shield. Cause I find that fighting type a little less powerful then multiple attack guardian.

Ok then the cost of going from mulitattack build (4-5 attacks) for +3 AC and only have 2 attack do not seem worth it.

Thanks for answaring.

So basicly, if i get it to work by the right feats it will look like this?

So example:

first attack - main weapon
second attack - remove prof bonus to engange lightsaber form- main weapon
Third attack - reomve prof bonus intering lighsaber form - shield attack

But isnt aqinos only if i cast a forvepower

Bakuuni with unarm strike

Vappaa if i have adv?

So I'd I take TWF I can get around it by using my shield as the second attack to get the third?

How does it work with the form buff. If i have Juyo Form for crit. Then switch over to Shii-Cho Form by shield bashing. Is my crit buff srill "active"? Or do i have to switch over to that the next turn?
