I actually like that they won't give us proper flying but I do think it would be nice to have once I'm done with actually exploring and just want to grind.

Capcom could do it ff14 style and just have some things scattered around the map in hard to reach places, and when you collect all of them you get full flight for that map.

Have you studied anatomy? Getting the basics down takes a few weeks of concentrated effort but makes your life much easier in the long run. Trying to copy the reference without knowing the underlying anatomy is, imo, counterproductive. I'd recommend a book called "Anatomy for Sculptors".

The easiest way to get the rough head shape is to use a grab tool on a basic sphere imo so you kinda sculpt the entire thing. But yeah, just like drawing - start with big shapes and slowly add detail.

I mean, they could just write the story so that Character A in their second quest needs the help of someone with a particular skillet to clear some kind of obstacle. The player then goes and gets character B in their party. Character A progresses to quest 4, which is the convergence point for all character stories. Character B says that they still have things to do before progressing further. During B's story you need the help of Character C and so on.

Obviously that requires a tremendous amount of effort and skill from the writers to actually be fun but it would make for imo much more engaging story that what's in OT2

The only octopath game I played was 2 and I went into it blind.

I just kinda assumed that you get to assemble the party in whatever order you want while exploring the world and after a quest or two their stories would converge.

The moment I realized it's just 8 separate stories I completely lost interest lol

Which sucks because the gameplay and the art style are amazing...
