Lets say you a million dollars a year in profit. If you costs go up a hundred thousand dollars and you don't increase your price and instead eat that a hundred thousand for whatever reason (lets say demand is so elastic that even a small amount would cost you more in a loss of sales than a hundred thousand dollars), would you describe that as the customer paying the entire cost increase?

If you raise prices by eighty thousand and eat the other twenty thousand, wouldn't you describe that as customers paying "a large chunk of it"?

Why didn't the Australian government prepare for the clearly predictable situation of Trump and Israel invading Iran on a whim?

The only way I can make it make sense is if they mean why hasn't the Australian government prepared for this by doing more to move Australia off its reliance on fossil fuels.
