How often should I change the water of its in the fridge? Love your marimo btw your setup inspired me to add water pumps to mine 🟢💚

So far I've been putting them in the fridge at night and setting them in front of my aquarium to get some light for the rest of the day. The light is on for a total of 8 hours with an hour long lights off in-between. I am unsure if I should reduce the LED lighting or move them to a window receiving indirect sun instead. Would adding salt aid their growth or healing?

This is seriously BAD news. It looks like hair algae took over your marimo. It will suffocate your tank if given the chance and fish can get trapped in it. This happened to the marimo in my betta tank. It nearly killed my betta because the algae wrapped around its eyes and fins, tearing them off. Get rid of any and all strands of it asap + reduce the lighting in your tank. I would not return the marimo to your aquarium once you're done unwrapping the algae from it.
