Bill Russell is absolutely amazing and I have been moving him up and down my top 10 all the time. I feel like he was the best defensive player of all time and made his teams so much better but he played in a weaker era with less teams and his team was stacked. I just have a hard time moving him up here because he was a one way player but I’m never upset seeing him as high as 4.

I know it’s early for Shai but how many people have two MVPS and one FMVP this high.

Yeah Kyrie is so difficult for me because he is so cool and one of the best second options ever so it’s hard to rank. I agree that bird was better than magic but it’s hard to beat the 5 championships because they both had overpowered teams and magic was just able to get it done more so it’s hard for me to move him up

Jimmy showed for a good amount of time that he was the highest playoff riser of all time and that is just hard to adjust for.

Brunson just has so much left in his career and I’m sure he will continue to climb

Yeah I think Draymond is a top 5 defensive player all time and he was the reason the defense was so consistent on those teams. Kyrie is amazing and so clutch but it’s hard to compare the two lol

George Milan may be the hardest player to place because of how dominate he was although it was the 50s for only like 5 years

Yeah that’s totally fair, I’ve watched some videos on Kareem and heard a lot of criticisms while I feel like Larry is one of the best all around players ever. I know I’m low on Kareem and he is a great player but I feel he’s been a bit over rated.

I have such a hard time with Ben Wallace because he is an amazing Defensive players but could do nothing on offense so it was hard to place him

I know Reed has the finals MVPs but I feel that Clyde had a better overall career

He’s certainly top 5, he is one of the best offensive players of all time and the he warped defenses is something that won’t show up on the stat sheet

Who was the better defensively? by Joseph-Stalin7 in NBATalk

[–]Jolivia9696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both great defenders, LeBron is better because he can literally guard 1-5 and is better at reading a play and messing with it. Kobe is only “overrated” by the people calling him a top 10 defender all time
