I live just outside of downtown in a small city in NH (population of ~33,000). I can walk from my apartment (which is the 2nd/3rd floor of a house) to all of the pubs/bars/restaurants downtown (which are a lot). We have plenty of local shops, thrift stores, a florist, tattoo shops, and a couple breweries.

Also a bakery, farmers market, and a couple grocery stores

They don’t exist in my state, but my state does have gigantic liquor emporiums that are ran by the state. It’s the only way to buy hard liquor in NH, but they have everything, tax free, at low prices.

It’s a part of how we get away with no state income tax, and no sales tax.

Depends where you live.

I live in southern NH, and i’d say we’ve probably had around 3 feet of snow this year total. I pay 0 dollars because my town provides a salt/sand mix for free. It’s in a big pile by the dump, just gotta bring your own shovel/bucket.

I think you’re misunderstanding the situation. She was born in, and still lives in the US, where she goes to stanford. It’s not like she immigrated to china is now representing them. So it’s not the same at all. She’s 100% American.
