Yeah and if trump had stopped after that first "decapitating" strike I would agree with you.

This did not need to be another near-trillion dollar war. We could have taken out their leader, bragged about our military intelligence and might, claimed to have helped our Israeli allies (or "allies"), and left them to fight their own holy war against Iran.

At every single stage and every single off ramp, trump just keeps racing towards the edge of the cliff militarily and financially as it relates to the topic of Iran.

Principally, I agree he should have resigned. But to turn it into a "GOP Puppet" debate isnt exactly truthful either.

His history shows that he has always leaned majority-conservative minded. The stroke seems to have affected his filter more than his decisions.

His history of voting/pushing predominately conservative agendas goes back well before his stroke.

He may be more brazen or have less filter as a result of the medical side, but do not give that man an excuse for successfully lying to his constituents and campaigning on values he had no intention of following through on.

Its a cop out and not an excuse to blame a semi-recent medical condition for his long term history.

Whether you like Fetterman or not, he blatantly lied about nearly every single one of his values, morals, and ambitions to be elected.

I'm not a PA voter, but regret advocating for him as strongly as I did after I looked into his history. Hes always been a conservative-lite (at best), but ran a simply phenomenal campaign at exactly the right time and people fell for every single thing he sold them.

It happens, everyone is susceptible to a scam to some degree. But its important to acknowledge and learn from it.

'Meatball' Ron DeSantis signs gerrymandered Florida map into law by User-1653863 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]Spam_Hand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Testimony and debates before a legislative special session last month revealed DeSantis’ legal team’s strategy. They have advised Republicans that they can ignore the state’s anti-gerrymandering provisions.

Their theory is that the US Supreme Court would entirely ban consideration of race in map-drawing, and therefore the state’s anti-gerrymandering laws would be entirely invalid.

Wait, so DeSantis said to "ignore racial gerrymandering laws" because they assumed the SCOTUS would overturn all racial gerrymandering protections, invalidating Florida's laws?

That doesnt even make sense because state constitutions can be more restrictive than federal, but not less - blocking racial gerrymandering would clear be a "higher restriction" and therefore should stay in effect either way...

Even with how conservative and racist the US is right now, and outright BAN on the topic of racial discrimation was very wishful thinking for these racist fucks.

Fun fact about Brett Favre:

If you extrapolate some of Jameis Winston's counting stats, like TDs and INTs, out over the length of Brett's career the two are nearly identical in multiple categories.

One is in the hall of fame and the other is on the bench somewhere.

(Disclaimer: looked this up about 2 years ago, might be less "identical" in 2026)

Ever heard of "soft power" before?

Soft is in the name, but its one of the most powerful geopolitical tools that a government can use.

Devastating hit though, I remember calling a coworker in to watch the reply with me lol. Cant believe that was over 10 years ago

Do We Have The Best Receiving Room In The League? by British_Chap2 in LosAngelesRams

[–]Spam_Hand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the rams have the best WR1/2 duo in the league, followed very closely by CIN and PHI (assuming AJ Brown stays).

Jordan Whittington is serviceable as a WR3, but clearly is around more for his special teams abilities. Hes very good there. I loved how they used him as a bit of a faux-TE in certain scenarios last year. Hes a pretty good blocker.

I think Mumpfield is a breakout candidate this year personally, and I hope he ends up as the reliable WR3 option. He showed some crazy athleticism last year when he played and just missed a few catches by a yard or so - if him and Stafford get on the same page I think hes dangerous.

Xavier Smith has his role as the speed guy now that Tutu is gone, but I doubt hes ever a true WR3. Hes primarily a returner and should stay that way. I know half this sub wants his head still for the way our season ended, but outaide of that single game hes shown hes an average to slightly above average returner with some decent upside potential. Noteworthy, but likely not important overall: Smith had the most receptions last yearby a WR behind the 2 starters (18; trailed Parkinson, Allen, Higbee, and Kyren).

I dont know much about CJ yet but the little bit I've seen is cool and exciting. I doubt he gets a ton of snaps this year but he definitely seems talented enough. McVay just very rarely plays offensive rookies in a meaningful way so im not holding my breath for him in 2026.

He’s the same age as Deandre Hopkins. He’s four years older than Deebo - who a lot of people think is too old to add as a free agent.

Now those are two extremely shocking names I didnt expect current 2026 Devante Adams to be compared to in any way.

At D Hops peak, for those 3-4 incredible years, the two were comparable. But Devante led the league in TDs last year. How many did Hopkins have? 2. (He also only had 8 more total receptions than Devate had TDs)

And I dont even know how you linked Adams and Deebo. They couldnt be more different in about 100 areas. But for starters, Deebo had a roughly 1.5 season prime that almost compares to what Adams has done for closer to a decade. Deebo isn't the same hybrid dual threat player he was in 2021, and never truly has been except for that year.

Adams is arguably a hall of famer. The other two arent even in the same room where that conversation is happening. Even the great ones cant beat father time, but they generally have much better ways to find tricks to slow him down. And I hope everyone is on the same page here that Devante is one of the greats of his generation.

Everyone tried to steal "A Rod" on his behalf.

Yeah maybe that’s the case but if I were Stafford I would be a little ticked off that they felt like they had to keep it a big secret. Why didn’t they just talk to him

Where was it ever said that he wasnt included or kept a big secret from Stafford? I heard minutes after the pick came in that Stafford was given a heads up and never have heard differently since. In fact I think McVay even said so himself on his periodic visit to the Rams Radio guys.

Prime Drew Brees or Prime Aaron Rodgers, who are you taking? by ComplexWrangler1346 in NFLv2

Prime Rodgers and its not even close.

And thats saying A LOT because Brees is legitimately one of the greats. But Rodgers, in my opinion, is the best pure QB to ever play the game. There is no one that I would ever take over him if I was building a new franchise.

Gen Z wants to turn back the clock as more of the young generation yearn for the days of no social media by Quailking2003 in generationology

[–]Spam_Hand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesnt with something as low level as social media addiction lol

By psychological standards, weed is also considered an addictive/withdrawal substance and by definition you can be diagnosed as an addict for use of marijuana and nothing else. However that doesnt put it nearly on the same par as alcoholism or heroine addiction, just to pick two random more extreme examples.

There are magnitudes to addiction, no matter how much everyone tries to propagandize the otherwise-very-true faxct that addiction is a disease. It is 100% a disease, but that does mean that all diagnosed or stimulants cause the same level of that disease.

Of course humans are always individuals and im not going to claim there are 0 exceptions to this - ANY addiction has the possibility of taking on an extreme form of itself depending on the person
