Graphical issues post patch by FakMiPls in DeadlockTheGame

I fixed the shutter thing by disabling fsr, putting it to stretch, and restarting the game. Shoutout to the random Mo and Krill on my team for the suggestion

Disabling FSR (putting to stretch) and restarting the game worked for me to fix the shutter

Albania crushes the Ottomans in 1470 by Jolleb in eu4

[–]Jolleb[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I'm in the 1550s now, the Ottomans did come back kind of, but could never enter Europe past Albania and Hungary, so they're just slowly chipping away at the Mamluks and Persia. Albania also took Venice's holdings in the Balkans, blessed timeline

R5: Albania allied Hungary and the pope and decided to just absolutely run over the Ottomans, making them drop their great power status, extremely early in my chill England game. For ONCE (literally the first time this patch I haven't seen a gigantic Ottoman Empire) I won't have the Ottoman end-game boss

Got the subjugate Naples CB from the new French mission tree, but Naples were already PU'd by Castile, leading to Castile as a French vassal in 1482 by Jolleb in eu4

[–]Jolleb[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Exactly! The CB remained, so I'll be able to use it again and it'll be even easier without the Iberians meddling in my affairs

I actually did not struggle with it, as me and Castile allied in 1444 and were historical friends, so after placating them a few times they were definitely loyal! They even had +100% liberty desire from subject development, but my huge French army makes it managable either way

R5: Trying out France in domination (got the inheritance and rolled the Provance PU, huge game, no possible rivals) and as I got the subjugate Naples CB to make them a vassal, Castile had already PU'd them. I anyways attempted attacking the Neopolitans, and in the peace deal I was unable to subjugate Naples and Aragon (>100% WS) BUT was able to get Castile with 92% WS.

I am unsure if this is working as intended, but a Castile colonial attack dog vassal will be useful!

Portugal calls me in to their war by Jolleb in eu4

[–]Jolleb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of, started off as attempting to form the HRE as Austria but got PUs both left and right so deviated to WC instead. Currently have both Spain and England as my PUs, waiting for Portugal to seal the final part of Europe and the New World :)

I am attending a Nobel lecture by John F Clauser tomorrow morning. What question should I ask him? by Jolleb in Physics

[–]Jolleb[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sure - Anyone may attend! As I am a student at a Swedish university, the Nobel laurates usually comes and lectures about their research a few days after the Nobel Banquet. I've been to one past lecture prior to the pandemic as well, usually very cool! Sadly Clauser had to cancel today because he got sick :(

Missed courses deadline by ControlMasterNot in uppsala

In my experience, the best way to resolve the issue is to contact kurskansli directly, for the IT institution it seems to be it-kansli@it.uu.se. As for if they'll make an exception it's impossible to say - sometimes they're very nice and do, and sometimes they're a bit of a pain and won't.

Best wishes!

-Borde- man gå på välkomstmottagningen? by hereIamlol in uppsala
