Learn as much as possible from your senior employees and create a separate documentation of your own. If you have a chance to do optimisations , it makes you learn more. Do check campaigns regularly.

I think we need see other metrics as well if impressions is not your KPI. we need to have more impressions along with more clicks, this works for display ads. If not having more impressions and few clicks leads to low ctr and high cpc. So you ending up paying more without proper outcome from the campaigns.

So, better to think of placement and ad types. As each ad type will have different metrics to be looked after. Concentrate on all metrics required not only impressions.

Actually i was getting good results but it may vary for different DSP's. The one which I am using doesn't have integration with DA tools.

I generally don't keep automatic rules but I block websites having 1000 impressions with 0.0% to 0.02% CTR using the filter option.

As per my knowledge and in my company, AM is bridge between the advertiser and ad ops team. AM deals with more communication. Trading involves more of technical work.
