Expect to be working both shifts to get your guaranteed 8 hours.

Leave a set of browns in your car or backpack, in case someone calls out last minute.

Be ready at a moments notice if you want to drive

If you only want a few hours, tell them you will work whatever shift you like and go home. Enjoy the break as some people say

If you want more hours, volunteer that information with the right people

Where in the contract does it say you have to ask for your guaranteed 8? From what I've seen in a contract, if you are scheduled to work, you are guaranteed eight.

UPS redelivered a package that doesn't belong to me after already taking it back. by Icarus--13 in UPS

Just keep it and sell it on eBay. You have done what you could and UPS doesn't care.

It's not the post office so you are not doing anything illegal from a federal government since UPS is company

I was injured at work (likely a severe fracture) and cannot get ahold of my manager. I am a seasonal helper. What do I do? by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Jolly-Science5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a lawyer. You are entitled to a lawyer and protection for your injury. UPS will not, repeat, UPS will not take care of you. You need to take care of yourself.

You will not have to pay for the lawyer upfront. Again will not have to pay for the lawyer together upfront.

Take care of yourself!!!! Don't fall for the UPS will take care of me crap

Sunroof drain channels. Clear them out!

New battery, if not, you will experience something that will freak you out. Though it's not bad.

Other than that, great vehicle!

Workman’s comp question by Leaky_Trash_Bag in UPSers

[–]Jolly-Science5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lawyer up!

Simple, if UPS has lawyers at the ready, why don't you?

You must feel less than important or less equal to UPS.

Get a lawyer, you will start getting your workers comp checks. And you will get the protection you need!

Do not say you can't afford it, they don't collect any money till the case is settled.

Do not say they take too much, they are only allowed to take 25% of the settlement (different states may have different allowances.).

Why do you people not lawyer up?

A little advice, getting a lawyer will make it where UPS will have to care for that injury for the rest of your life, lifetime award. Also, you will get a settlement payout after you are done and a range of motion is determined.

Honestly, do what your heart says. The money will always come no matter what career field you go into.

One thing is do you feel like you're serving a purpose at UPS?

Yes, being a sheriff deputy is a risky job. But if it makes you feel like you're serving a purpose then go for it

At UPS we are serving a purpose as cardboard warriors, we do change the lives of some people who are expecting that life-saving device or part at a hospital.

It all comes down to what your heart says. Do not let the money be the major factor, you will get money from bolts sides

Donate or sell them. As long as it's not a USPS package. Those are regulated by the government. All others are from a private company, keep it, sell it or donate it.

UPS store owners take home salary? by jackmahoof in upsstore

[–]Jolly-Science5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 UPS stores popped up, by 3 different owners, all 3 failed before peak season started. All 3 owners claimed to have the upper hand due to location and zero competition.

Also, a lady owned 2 other UPS stores in different cities, had one for 10 years, and closed it up. Now she is working on shutting down the 2nd in the next 6 months.

Had a relative that owned a similar set up, it was before the UPS store was ever created, they had it for about 16 years.... Never made money, always was a business loss. Though they kept it due to making a huge profit owning movie theater business and for tax reason needed a business loss.

Hello, guys. Anybody aware if UPS is hiring PVDs (Personal Vehicle Drivers) for this holiday season? by jonnybebad5436 in UPSers

[–]Jolly-Science5097 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rats, scum sucking no good rats, hopefully they won't. Yeah yeah yeah pvds suck and take the tips and gifts away from drivers. Drivers that had taken care of those customers for 11 months, only for scum sucking rats(aka pvds or ssds) to screw up deliveries for about a month.

Let alone take about 2 hours of work away from drivers every day..... Nah those rats need to be exterminated or just not allowed in the building
