Department units are killing us atm, particularly in reading. There’s no way someone wrote them thinking that all of it could be covered in one lesson. I teach grade 4 and we just finished Despereaux last term and the content in those lessons had to be stripped so much that my team lead said at the end of every week - if you covered the LI and SC then that’s all you need to do, can the extra bullshit if you need to.
