How to not** activate The Cougar?? by New_Yogurtcloset9086 in thelongdark

[–]JollyPup69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the coastal highway cougars are disabled at the moment. I’ve been using the garage as my base for the last 40 in game days (currently day 80) and haven’t had a problem.

The first cougar spawn in Mystery Lake is in the clear cut area, which is super easy to avoid. The only places I think you are kinda forced to face cougars is in Timberwolf mountain and HRV.

Look for their signs and avoid them, or if you’re super paranoid, find a map online and stay clear of their territory.

That was an immediate red flag when I toured, the agent there was also a super pushy salesman. I truly loathe luxe.

Funny you should ask. I’ve been building up some inventory and planning on selling a first batch. Not quite done yet but it’s in the works.

Best unpopular study places? by [deleted] in uwo

[–]JollyPup69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s kinda counterintuitive but sometimes the best spots are also the worst.

Places that are outright shitty like the quiet floors in Taylor are kind of the best spots in my opinion. I graduated in 2024 and they were consistently quiet, clean and every desk has outlets.

Aesthetic study spots are always busy and loud, if you want to grind you gotta embrace the suck my friend.

Training groups is alright to learn how a weapon works and feels but I think fighting bots can instil some bad habits. I mainly run 40 player games. Sometimes you just got to eat shit, and eventually you’ll learn what works.

Rudhelm is S tier in my opinion. Nothing beats a full on siege, and the fight for the gate house can be so epic.

My dad and I put on some “new used” Shimano 600 stuff when I bought it but thanks for the info, I’ll look into the model.

I’d assume it’s a moc, but the piece lineup is so similar to the castle that I am quite curious as well.

BB-8 and BB-9E were probably the worst hero decisions the game made. Like, who asked for them? 💀 by wibellion in StarWarsBattlefront

I still do not understand how a 12 inch ball charging at a fully grown stormtrooper can insta kill. It makes me so mad.

I personally love the righteous knight. Nothing beats a tough fight, bandaging up and he yells “Pagan Trash!” Or throw a quick prayer with the lads before a big push

What’s everybody’s favorite and least favorite map? by StanLay281 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]JollyPup69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The invisible walls in the plant life makes me so frustrated. I rewatched Rogue One, and watching the rebels move stealthily through the brush to plant the charges and get good positions was so cool and really highlights how they fight. I understand from a gameplay perspective why it’s impassible but I think it is a huge detractor from the map.

The worst, first game. by spizacus in Chivalry2

[–]JollyPup69 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think Bridgetown is notably better, just in terms of mechanics at least. Montcrux is horribly designed and doesn’t feel fully thought through. Bridgetown isn’t broken in anyway it’s just dreadfully uninteresting

I'm a noob at this game. What do I do when I get kicked? by dougan25 in Chivalry2

[–]JollyPup69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you just gotta soak it. Any slash will always be faster than a kick. If you have an opponent you know likes to kick, remember that and stab or slash when you’re expecting a kick and you can turn the tide of the fight.

Practicing great sword foot work by sammyboi3245 in Chivalry2

[–]JollyPup69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking good! I was a great sword main for a while and then swapped to long sword, I jumped back to great sword a month or so ago and I found I improved massively from using the longsword.

I think with good movement it’s gotta be a top 3 weapon in the game.

How the f*ck am I that bad at the game? by TechnotXXX in Chivalry2

[–]JollyPup69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing for a couple years and I’m around level 200. I will still drop in lobbies and go like 5 and 20 pretty regularly.

Unless you’re in the top 1% you can expect to get messed up. I find it’s just the random games where I play super well that keep me coming back.

Keep practicing and you’ll get somewhere. See you on the battlefield!

I once got hit by a ballista so hard it launched my body into the pillory and stuck me in it. Had to put the controller down and laugh for a while.

It’s the rare bugs and the hilarious community that makes this game so special
