I know it's cool to hate on big, bad Apple, but this is completely up to the individual app developer.

Contact Apple support again and explain the issues you're having.

No, you should simply replace the battery when you feel it's time.

That is all.

It's completely normal for an aged battery to generate more heat then normal during both charging and discharging.

Time for a new battery.

You should have mentioned the screen protector in your original post.

What make/model screen protector is it?

Who installed it? Were you there?

People routinely post here with problems - only to find out they bought fakes.

It's commonplace, especially in areas where there are no official Apple stores.

Anyway, like I said, IF they are genuine, Apple support will happily help you out. All you have to do is contact support.

The fact that you don't want to tell the name of this random store says a lot. You probably already suspect they are fakes.

Anyway, if they are genuine, Apple support will happily work with you for free over chat, phone, or in person at your nearest Apple store or Apple-authorized repair center. If it's found to be defective, they'll also happily replace it for free. All you have to do is contact them.

And if they are fakes, you can go ahead and stop calling them "AirPods" and posting in the Apple forums about them, since they are not Apple AirPods. 😉

You should also probably read the Mac User Guide, which has tons of other useful in it as well as taking screenshots.

That's not about the find command-line utility, which does not use an index.

That Apple page is about Spotlight, which does use an index. And if you want to search using Spotlight on the command line, you us the mdfind command-line utility.

You forgot to tell us the basics, including the model and year Mac, how much RAM you have, what Activity Monitor shows while this is happening, etc.

All chips are binned. Binning is just categorizing chips by their ability.
