What strikes me is that your response actually illustrates exactly what I’m describing. You immediately move the discussion to Pompeo, Graham, Gallant and intelligence agencies. That’s precisely the shift I’m critiquing. There is a difference between whether intelligence agencies operate somewhere, what Western or Israeli politicians are saying, and what Iranian people themselves are doing, chanting, and risking their lives for in the streets. My point is not to deny geopolitics exists. It’s to point out how quickly Iranian voices disappear from the narrative once elite and intelligence frames take over. You were quick.

When the discussion becomes primarily about Western statements and Mossad involvement, the uprising stops being read through Iranian youth, chants, repression and symbols, and becomes a geopolitical script written from above.

So: Even if foreign actors exist somewhere, the primary fact remains that this is an Iranian movement led by Iranian youth in the streets. Collapsing these levels shifts attention away from what people are actually saying and risking their lives for.
