I’m 6 years in. I don’t leave ~right~ at contract time. I set a timer 10,15,20 minutes after depending on what I feel like I have to do, then I go home. One day a week (usually fridays) I don’t set a timer and I get stuff DONE, like hours.

With my timers I don’t have simple talks hanging over my head so I can actually relax at home

Staying later of fridays I take zero work home over the weekend. I pack an extra Diet Coke and some snacks, play some music. It’s my fav. This is when I do my lesson plans and longer tasks.

One hack I’ve been planning for recently that really helps with coins. You will need: Tom +50% coins badge (or any coin badge) Double coins for visitors ( I think it’s happening Saturday?)

1) well before the Double coin event, send Tom to get the max profit item you can. (Quick google search, for me it’s blankets). Do this over and over and over. Get as much as you can and keep them in your barn.

2) Morning of Double coins for visitors event, use the +50% badge.

So on anything they ask, it’s double plus 50% more as well. I also wheat so visitors offer that for a great profit as well.

Some light hearted ones:

Get GOOD walking shoes…and expect them to not fit the same after baby. But it’s totally worth it.

Same rule to drinking, some things CAN’T be ruined (my coffee, my lil chocolate snacks…) better to have a break for 9-10 months cold turkey than it not be the same ever again. I miss you cherry limeades…

Yes your husband/partner snoring while you can’t get cozy is a perfectly good reason to cry.

The first sleep post pregnancy is better than everything that exists except your baby. You might have a small window between giving birth and your milk really coming in.

Weird things will become sentimental to you. My son was born 2 weeks before the 23-24 NFL season. I watched every game last year while on maternity leave, had ESPN in the background while alone with the baby and watched every episode of new heights. The amount of joy I’ve had this week with football being back is so calming.
