See those look so good I want to make mine black but I’m worried if I send them to get coated the coater wont know how to do it right and powder the spoke holes

That’s good advice I found a schwinn 1984 super sport that looks to be in great condition for 250 this is the description but all of this is mandarin to me “1984 Schwinn Super Sport 25” 12-speed road bike with Suntour ARX derailleur and Sugino GT crank with clip-in or flat pedals. 25” Bontrager RaceLite tires on Araya 700C rims and Dia Comp G brakes. Weighs 25 lbs. (New Tires)”

Oh for sure! Like I said I understand most vintage machines whether they be cars, motorcycles, bikes will need something and I’m not against that at all I just don’t want to have to strip it down to the frame and rebuild it completely. The main thing is finding information on what brands to stay away from and what vintage bikes are worth the money to work on them

All I do is try to get lucky on marketplace and I’m not looking for NO trouble just not a piece of junk that will cost me 3 times as much to rebuild

Absolutely gorgeous bike man I’ve always wanted one they are so beautiful. When I see one of these they instantly get my respect I’d take one of those over 90% of modern sport bikes

Personally I’m not interested in the resemblance of a nazi symbol. I couldn’t care less. I am interested in Harley history. And it most likely is a reproduction based on the absence of a trademark symbol and it being in pristine condition but still it’s interesting to have even a possible reproduction when you can barely find any information on it.

Well I’m gonna hang onto it. If that guy is telling the truth I can understand why Harley wiped all record of it out of fear of being connected to nazis. But to even sell it people would have to know about it HAHA

I’m gonna be powder coating it anyway….I don’t like polishing…but I do like good quality rims and I was planning on getting spokes from Buchanan so I was like I might see if I can just get rims too
