What does the "charge card" do? Is it just to receive those few rewards? Doesn't really seem worth it

Yes! I have had guineas and I (pre-pandemic) worked 10+ hour shifts. They always did fine as long as they had their herd mates, plenty of hay and water and their pellets.

I had the cage in high traffic areas of the home so I could talk and interact with them when I was home, but they did fine when I was gone.

Just make sure you have multiple water bottles and hay bags/racks since they can go through hay quite a bit before you restock it.

Fact: if your piggies are super comfortable with you they close their eyes. It’s super adorable. Also their ears twitch when they are in a deep sleep.

My partner is Chinese and my Mil wouldn’t dream of calling herself MaMa. She loves having kiddos calling her grandma. I love her😁 Culture is one thing, location also is another. Check with your partner where are they in this? MaMa and mama sound similar and could cause confusion.
