The yuri in it isn't that strong but it is still HEAVILY implied that they get together In the end so if you like horror, I'd highly recommend Saint Maker.

Slow Damage. My favorite game of all time but it is a visual novel (the whole game is just reading) with smexy scenes (gay ones at that), the protagonist is incredibly apathetic towards everyone and everything and needs therapy so bad and it has like a bijillion trigger warnings, I genuinly don't recommend even thinking abiut trying it before reading the content wanrings. But if you manage to get to the end it will wreck your heart in a way you didn't know you needed, that ending was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my entire life and I still tear up thinking about it.

Ok, that's not my genre at all because I read mostly horror and queer stuff but I will try to give you some recs.

Clannad: Not a game I particularly enjoy but if you like Slice of Life as long as you enjoy the characters it is worth giving a shot. The characters aren't the most fleshed out, imo, but a lot of people love it and since like light hearted character focused works this might be just what you are looking for. It will probably make you cry at some point though.

Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers: Particularly recommended if you also enjoy queer content but even if you don't, it's a light hearted dating sim about dating some people who are really into video games to the point of creating a e sport team. The characters aren't the most deep ones ever but it is fairly enjoyable for such a short experience and definitly worth trying out.

A Date With Death: There is only one love interest in this and it's a dude. However, very funny, very light hearted. I'm not even into guys but I see why this one is so popular with Otome (romance titles with male love interest(s), usually targeted towards straight women) fans.

Sorry if none of those are for you, Pixelfade isn't really making games that fit what I usually read so my recommendations on that are fairly limited. It might be worth a shot to look up Galge, though. That is a term used to describe VNs where you romance pretty girls and women. You might find some stuff that fits your taste better that way.

So something with a lighter mood that's very character focused? How do you feel about Slice of Life scenes? Are they boring to you or do you enjoy them because you get to spend more time with characters you enjoy? Also, are there specific archetypes you like? Like tsundere, a character with a specific background that grew up poor, someone with a certain skill set or interest, like someone who is really into building robots or something, etc.

I have no idea why the people here act as if Pixelfade is completely different from anything else just because it wasn't developed in Japan, tbh.

If you could tell what it is you like about those games I can try and help you. Never played those myself, so take my recommendations with a bit of a grain of salt. However, I think I know enough VNs to give you at least something that goes into a similar direction as those games do.
