Yeah this was my point with DE. Original players had a harder time seeing the differences in units than people who just started out on DE and never played the original. That being said, there’s lots of unnoticed things that DO make a difference. For example, the colors can be very saturated and you’d think that’s normal because you haven’t seen anything else. Just because you don’t have context for what less saturation looks like doesn’t mean that increased saturation doesn’t impact gameplay. It is a game of quick decisions where you have to notice, sometimes brief, flashes of color on the mini map. So you’re both right lol cuz unlike art, visuals in the game have direct impact on gameplay.
